Hi everyone,

I’m planning a trip to Nepal around the end of May and I’m really interested in doing the Manaslu Circuit trek. I wanted to ask if this is a good time to go?

From what I’ve read, it seems like late May is kind of a transition period with pre-monsoon conditions starting — possibly some rain, clouds, and less clear mountain views. I’m okay with a bit of weather, but I’m trying to understand how much it actually impacts the experience.

How are the trail conditions around late May?

Are views still decent or mostly cloudy?

Any issues with landslides, leeches, or heavy rain starting by then?

Would you recommend going at that time, or is it better to shift earlier/later?

Would really appreciate insights from anyone who has done the Manaslu Circuit around this time 🙏

Thanks in advance!

Hi folks,

I’m planning the Manaslu Circuit Trek this year and wanted inputs specifically from Indian trekkers who’ve done it recently (post-2023).Has anyone done Manasalu circuit.

I’ve already gone through multiple blogs and cost breakdowns, but I’m looking for real on-ground experience from Indians, since permits, logistics, and budgeting differ a bit for us.

My plan:

- Budget: ₹60k–₹80k target

- Duration: ~14–16 days

- Style: Budget (teahouses, shared transport)

- Open to: Joining a group to reduce restricted area permit + guide cost

Would really appreciate clarity on:

  1. What was your actual total cost from India (door-to-door)?

  2. How did you arrange permits – via agency or group? Cost?

  3. Guide cost per day – what did you pay and how did you find them?

  4. Is it easy to join a group in Kathmandu, or better to pre-book from India?

  5. Teahouse costs (stay + food) – how does it compare to Annapurna Circuit?

  6. Any hidden costs or things that caught you off guard?

Also:

- Any agency/guide you’d genuinely recommend (or avoid)?

- If anyone is planning around similar time, open to connect/join.

Not looking for:

- Luxury packages

- Generic itinerary links

- Outdated info

Thanks in advance – hoping to get some honest insights 🙏
