"Being subserviant to humans is worse than death"

The visual design of this skin is fine, they did a good job. However, it's the idea behind it that urks me.

The idea behind this wave of skins is "what if the Omnic Crisis never happened?" which is a neat concept. However, this does not mean that the omnics and humans have found peace. This instead means "what if the Omnics were still oppressed?" This is what bothers me. To make one of the strongest characters in the game who's whole identity is being a freedom fighter into a maid is really insulting. You could argue that this is a world where they found peace and this is what Rammatra chose, however look to the quote that this post is titled under, a direct quote from Rammatra. And this isn't just because "oh I like character grrr", this is more so about what the character stands for.

The Omnic Crisis and the social tensions that it arose from are a clear allegory for the African American experience. So to take Rammatra, a very black-coded character who is focused on freedom from oppression, and give him a housekeeper skin just feels wrong. (Side note, if you think The Omnic Crisis isn't an allegory for the black experience in America or Rammatra isn't black-coded or you think I'm reading too much into things, please exercise your critical thinking skills and media literacy.)

Am I calling out the devs to change anything? No, of course not, why would they. However, I am challenging you the reader to think about what you are seeing or purchasing.

EDIT: Yes I know this is a fan designed skin from a fan competition. I want to make it clear, if you like the skin and want to get it, cool. I don't have a problem with that. I'm not calling you a bad person or anything, I'm not even calling the person who designed it a bad person. I'm just encouraging you to think about what you see.

I've heard really great things about the run, and I've always wanted to read some Fantastic Four and learn about the Future Foundation, but what is the best way to read it? I like having a physical omnibus, but it seems like vol. 2 is really spendy. Should I just invest in Marvel Unlimited? What's the move. Thanks!
