Vile that they still charge for name changes in 2026.

I haven't played a game since I sold my Xbox 3 years ago that charges you to change your name. It's such a small thing to charge so much money for, but they gotta squeeze every single penny they can out of their playerbase somehow, right?

Microsoft is restructuring its gaming business and has laid off around 3200 employees. Asha Sharma confirms Blizzard is one of the affected organizations.

"We are also making reductions across other units, and in some cases, shifting investment to focus on higher priority projects. These changes vary in size across Activision, Bethesda/ZeniMax, Blizzard, King, Mojang, and XBOX Game

Studios. "

New to the game, can anyone explain to me why lifeweaver is considered bad?

New to overwatch, I come from MR so I know I shouldn't expect such high levels of healing but he doesn't seem that bad? Could you guys enlighten me on his case?

Torb sacrificing himself and throwing himself infront of boulder for Mercy during comp

The things we do for mercy

u/Distinct_Motor_8657 — 7 hours ago

Please, do not lifegrip the tank just because you are afraid alone.

I just had the strangest match where I played Domina, and a Lifeweaver insisted on yanking me back from my own shield on cooldown. Costed me two ults too, because guess what, when you are mid casting Panopticon, and you get yoinked, you will hit something else. I tried to warn them not to do this, and I only got a response "sorry no English", and they kept me yoinking. Also, the team names were very sus, like Ash, Ash123, Aaaaaash123 and so on, like a bunch of bots. How common is this that players bunch together to literally just grief others? Because I don't buy into the "we are all new players, me no speak English, sorry" spiel. Yoinking back the tank every X seconds is very bad manners, and I thought this community grew out of this phase to be honest.

Widowmaker Cosplay

Debuted my Widowmaker cosplay at CCE last year and just realized I never posted pictures of it here :3

Made the coverup/jacket, altered a bikini and airbrushed a bodysuit so that i didn’t need to deal with purple body paint that would rinse off in the water lolol. I freehand drew her tattoos too c:

Staff at Blizzard were told today that they won't hear how the reorganization impacts them until "further communications"

From Jason Schreier

https://bsky.app/profile/jasonschreier.bsky.social/post/3mpyrvqncz22z

> I want to re-emphasize one part of this Xbox story: Half of the 3,200 cuts are happening today and half are happening in the next 12 months. In other words, even people who survived today's layoffs will have to spend the coming year wondering if they're going to be next.

> Case in point: the staff of Blizzard Entertainment were told today that they won't hear how the reorganization impacts them until "further communications"

Day 4 of Old Overwatch Fanart: SOS Brigade (@maojin)

RIP Genji lmao.

Yet another decade-old gem from my hard-drive! And yet another case where the artist’s tumblr no longer exists 😭

These ults are the easiest to fumble according to the community.

Yesterday I asked which hero ults people always use wrong or get no value out of and these are the results.

· Genji – 16

· Sojourn – 13

· Cassidy – 12

· Winston – 11

· Orisa – 9

· Emre – 8

· Tracer – 8

· Sigma – 8

· Illari – 7

· Baptiste – 7

· Domina – 7

· D.Va – 6

· Reinhardt – 5

· Ashe – 4

· Echo – 4

· Bastion – 4

· Juno – 4

· Kiriko – 3

· Reaper – 3

· Ana – 3

· Torbjörn – 3

· Ramattra – 3

· Sombra – 2

· Junkrat – 2

· Vendetta – 2

· Freja – 2

· Zarya – 1

· Mauga – 1

· Lucio – 1

· Mei – 1

· Hanzo – 1

· Zenyatta – 1

· Roadhog – 1

· Wrecking Ball – 1

· Venture – 1

· Symmetra – 1

· Moira – 1

· Shion – 1

· Mizuki – 1

· Anran – 1

· JPC – 1

· Sierra – 1

As for the heroes that weren't mentioned.

Brigitte,pharah,mercy,widow,,doomfist,life weaver,,hazard.

So now my question is. Looking at the top 5 most misused ults, how do you use them correctly?

What’s the most disgusting (high damage and utility with minimal or high skill counterplay) hero combos you hate to see on the other team? Like Mei/Hazard or Mercy/Cass.

u/geekdadchris — 6 hours ago

who was here when this PEAK happened?

to those who don't know, this was the limited time game mode "battle for olympus" where you played deathmatch as greek gods and tried to climb the global leaderboards (i still believe this was rigged btw :p) to get their hero a statue on ilios at the end of the event

i was maining lucio at the time and i admit he can be really annoying in this mode (his boop stunned enemies upon wall impact) but as someone who rarely played ffa, the grind to get a hero-specific title was quite demanding (300 final blows on one hero in ffa). overall, it made the season feel really cohesive and cool!

I really wish they put in a consistent effort for all mythic skins. Some are just so much less customisable and interesting than others.

How I think players react to seeing other characters ult

Some of them can be put in multiple categories but yeah.

Even with so many new characters i still like it when the mechanics are simple.

To be honest, having a character with dual pistols and a motorcycle, one literally having an infinite jetpack, other with melee combo mechanics, etc it's cool. But i'm still hoping for characters with two abilities and a simple shot, projectile, hitscan, whatever, i still really like the simple ones!
