I wonder how the Millers feel about selling the team in hindsight…

Lakers just sold for 12.5 billion, and it just got me thinking. Obviously they’re still filthy rich, but the Millers owned the Jazz for three decades before selling for 1.6 billion, Ryan Smith bought the Jazz in 2020 and in 6 years it’s shot to about 5 billion, likely more if he actually sold. His initial investment has more than tripled in 6 years. Ultimately of course I don’t feel bad for the Millers because they’re still astronomically wealthy, but still…maybe the worst time to sell a team ever?

Also, man I need this offseason to end

Trading for the #1 pick is the only way we lose in this situation

Dybantsa and Peterson are 1A and 1B in this draft. Both are as close to surefire studs as prospects get. If the wiz take Dybantsa, we throw a party because then we’re getting Daryn freaking Peterson. I think a lot of Jazz fans due to proximity to AJ, have underestimated just how insane of a prospect DP is. But, if they take Peterson, we throw a party because we get Dybantsa!

In a trade scenario, we essentially give up assets to make our potential future no different than it was before, or potentially even worse. It would only show that our front office is clouded by its connection to BYU and Ryan desperately wants his guy.

All this being said, I don’t think the Jazz are wrong for calling the Wizards about the pick. Of course you have to explore every possible avenue. I just hope they don’t do it.

For the first week of owning it, brick was awesome. Blocks distracting apps and gird me time back. But I recently discovered two sort of unfathomable defects of the product.

  1. You can just turn it off in settings at any time. What the fuck? How pointless is that? A blocker you can just turn off. And yes I know they posted a way to block settings through shortcuts, however that doesn’t do anything about accessing settings through control center.

  2. This one is egregious. You can literally deactivate it but just restarting your phone. What a joke. How this company justify selling this garbage product for $60 I’ll never know. It’s not a barrier, it’s a road bump at best.

If anyone has remedies for these please let me know. I’d be very happy to be wrong on this!
