Advice needed

For the OTs, do you still target sitting tolerance using regular stools for our SNED learners? Medyo nagcclash kasi kami ng SNED teacher dahil gusto niya kaya na mag sitdown for 10 minutes yung kid sa stool. I’ve been targeting the child’s GMS and posture pero weak kasi talaga siya kaya i understand why the child refuses to stay still. I communicated this already na need ng movement breaks ng kid but this is what they were insisting on. This on top of the other traumatizing methods they were telling the parents (paluin ang kid to instill fear, hayaan magwala sa mall, etc. ) na kinakabahala ng parents. We are in the province kaya hirap din maghanap yung mom ng alternative bukod sa public school na ito. Super lost na ako parang di ko na alam iaadvice ko🥲🥲🥲

Remote / WFH opportunities

Hello! Thinking outside the box lang pero what are possible OT specialization na remote ang work? I’m thinking kung ano yung pwede and these are what I came up with:

  1. pediatric online therapy: I have no idea how pediatric online therapy works tho i think some are doing it still. Do you usually have the parents prepare materials beforehand? Para bang coaching siya? Or more on digital na ba siya with shared screen? Di ko siya maimagine masyado 😭
  2. Adult and adolescent psych cases: again, I have no idea how this works tho I am looking into getting CBT-certified. For those practicing, usually ba coaching siya? Or worksheets? Artworks?

Any ideas and insights would be helpful. Gusto ko lang rin sana maexperience na kumikita while hindi pumapasok sa clinic. Thank youuu.
