My wife and I found this little guy in our hallway with our cat staring at him curiously. We haven’t found a nest or other evidence of mice. Can someone tell me what species this is and whether we should be concerned about any diseases? He hasn’t opened his eyes yet. We’ve been caring for him for a day.

I live in eastern Kansas.
