food just doesn’t consume my thoughts anymore

I’ve been on Reta for 18 days so 2½ weeks (started July 31st), and the difference in my appetite/food noise is honestly insane. the fact that i genuinely don’t get hungry anymore is actually so crazy to me 😭

like… i don’t think i’ve ever experienced this before. i’ve never felt this comfortable just… not being hungry?? there’s no stomach growling, no constant “what am i gonna eat next?” thoughts, no feeling like i NEED to snack on something. the food noise is literally DOWN.

and don’t worry guys, i’m still making sure i eat even when i’m not feeling hungry!. it’s just so wild to me that food doesn’t feel like something i constantly have to think about anymore.

i honestly LOVE this for me, it genuinely feels so good to finally understand what it’s like to just… not be consumed by food all the time.

anyone else get more of a mindset change then actual appetite suppression on reta

I’m curious if anyone else experienced this when starting Reta.

I’m a little over 2 weeks in, and while I’m definitely seeing the scale move (I’m down about 8.1 lbs from my starting weight), I wouldn’t say I’ve experienced the kind of appetite/food suppression that I see people talk about on here.

For me, it feels more like my mindset around food has changed. I still feel like I could eat more if I really wanted to, and I wouldn’t say I get that “I physically can’t eat anymore” feeling. But I find myself naturally serving smaller portions and stopping myself from getting more food because I’m thinking more like, “Why am I taking such a huge portion when I’m literally trying to lose weight and improve my health?”

So I’m definitely eating less, but I feel like it’s more of a conscious decision rather than Reta making me physically unable or uninterested in eating.

After I eat, I also wouldn’t necessarily say I’m extremely full. It’s more like, “Okay, I’ve eaten enough, I don’t need to keep eating.” If I really wanted to, I feel like I could still eat more.

Has anyone else experienced this? Did your appetite suppression start out more as a mindset/portion-control change and become more noticeable physically later on, or did you have obvious appetite suppression right away?

love this community

i feel like all the women in this community are so nice, when i would post in another retatrutide community id only ever get smart ass responses or people telling me to read the beginners guide which i had read numerous times before, it’s just nice to hear from people who are actively doing the same things you are. but here, i can ask questions and actually interact with you ladies!

reta users: what was your starting weight vs. current weight

i’m curious for everyone who’s currently on reta — how long have you been on it, what was your starting weight, and what’s your current weight?

i’m currently only on day 12 and i’m down about 6 lbs so far. it might not sound like a huge amount, but for me, especially having PCOS and historically struggling to lose weight, this feels pretty huge

would love to hear everyone else’s progress and see how long you’ve been on reta + how much you’ve lost!

just a little update

RETA update — day 11

Started: July 31
Starting weight: 258 lbs
Current weight: 252.4 lbs
Total loss: 5.6 lbs

Just wanted to share a little update since I’m 11 days in! I’ve noticed some changes in my appetite/fullness here and there, but nothing super consistent yet. Last week, there was one day where I got extremely full while eating, which I definitely noticed, but otherwise I feel like I’ve been eating pretty normally.

Still really early, so I’m just going to keep going and see how things progress over the next few weeks. Definitely happy with the scale moving in the right direction though! 🤞🏽

SN :
i know 5 pounds isn’t much but for someone who has a really really time losing weight due to pcos, this is honestly huge for me.

First Pin this weekend

Taking my first RETA pin Saturday evening and I’m honestly really excited. My starting weight is 255.8 lbs, and my current goal is 190 lbs (I know that goal could change later, but that’s what I’m aiming for right now).

I’m not expecting anything crazy overnight. I just want to see that it’s working. Even if I lose 5 lbs in my first month, I’d honestly be happy because losing weight has always been really difficult for me.

For the women who started around the same weight:
• What dose did you start on?
• How long have you been on RETA?
• What’s your current weight now?

Starting reta this week.

Finally received my RETA and I’m honestly really excited (and a little nervous)!

I have PCOS, and weight loss has always been something I’ve struggled with. It’s been really frustrating feeling like my body doesn’t respond the way I want it to, and I haven’t always felt comfortable or confident in my skin.

I’m hoping this can be a tool to help me make progress alongside healthier habits. I’d really love to hear from other women with PCOS who have tried RETA (or similar peptides).

How has your experience been? Did you notice changes in your appetite, weight, energy, or symptoms?

Also, if you’re comfortable sharing:

What was your starting weight?
What is your current weight?
How long have you been on it?

I’d really appreciate hearing other people’s experiences, especially from those who also have PCOS 💕

New Here - starting my journey

Hey everyone

I just placed my order and I’m starting my retatrutide journey next week, and honestly… I’m really excited.

I’m 22, 5’6 & 255lbs. I have PCOS, and I’ve struggled with my weight for a long time. I feel like I haven’t really gotten the chance to fully live the way I want to. I’ve always been the bigger girl, the quiet girl, the one who tried to hide and take up less space. I don’t want to keep living like that.

I know weight loss isn’t just about a number on the scale, but for me this feels like taking a step toward finally putting myself first and becoming the person I’ve always wanted to be.

I’ve done a lot of research, and I’m going into this with the mindset of building better habits too — focusing on protein, moving my body, lifting weights, and taking care of myself. I don’t want to just lose weight; I want to feel stronger and healthier.

I’ll be starting at 0.5 because I want to ease into it and see how my body responds instead of rushing.

I’d love to hear from anyone else who has started this journey, especially anyone with PCOS or anyone who started around a similar age/weight. Any advice, things you wish you knew, or encouragement would be appreciated
