I’m a B.Com fresher currently in a Finance & Accounts project, but I’m struggling to understand the work and want to move to an HR-related domain. My manager already mailed HR about my release and it’s been 1 week now. I’m also not getting training currently.
Just wanted to know — usually how long does release take and how much time does it take to get a new project/domain?
Hi everyone, I need some advice regarding release and domain change as a fresher.
I am currently in a Finance & Accounts related project, but after around 20 days I realized I am unable to understand the work properly cause my basics in finance is week and I am more interested in HR-related roles. I am from a B.Com Honours background.
I discussed this with my manager and she said she would release me and emailed HR about it. It has been around 1 week since then. I am also not getting training now, and my laptop was not mapped to the project because my manager told them not to do it.
I wanted to ask:
Usually how long does release take for a fresher after manager approval?
After release, how long can it take to get a new project/domain?
Is it realistically possible to move into HR-related roles internally as a B.Com fresher?
What kind of HR projects or roles should I try to target?
Would really appreciate hearing from people who experienced something similar in TCS or other IT companies.

I joined TCS recently and it’s been about 15 days in my current project (Tata Steel). I’m finding it difficult to understand the work and want to get released.
If I ask for release this early:
Will it create a problem or lead to termination?
If I go on bench, is there any risk of termination?
Will I get another project easily after release?
Any advice or real experience would help. Thanks!
