I've worked in the nonprofit world for a few years now, and I'm bothered by the amount of clothing that's donated but can't be used. I've been thinking about starting my own org or community group that repairs the clothing or takes it apart to use the pieces elsewhere. I'd love to donate the fabric/yarn to crafting groups. Are there any groups that would be interested in a program like this? I would also love to know if there is already an organization that does this. Any help/advice is appreciated. Thank you!
