Had an interview today for sp1 started straight with DSA.

No intro, nothing — the interviewer just showed me his screen and asked me to code. Took me around 10–12 minutes to think it through, then I solved it using a 2-pointer approach. He asked if I could optimize it further, but I couldn’t think of anything better at that moment.

Next, he asked me to design a Library Management System using OOP — pretty open-ended. I started by writing down my ideas on paper, thinking through entities and structure. When I explained that we could create book objects storing attributes like author, issued-on, issued-by, etc. to maintain abstraction, he stopped me midway and said it was good enough.

After that, he moved to SQL — gave a few queries, and I was able to solve all of them.

In the end, I asked a few questions, and the interview wrapped up normally.

Overall:

* Not terrible

* Not great either

* Just… mid

Felt like I did okay in parts, but also had moments where I wasn’t at my best.

Anyone else had similar “mid” interviews that still converted? 🙂
