Coming from bmx to road bikes
Hi everyone, so I literally just picked up my first road bike, it's an oldie, but for $50 Aussie bucks I couldn't go wrong I thought. It's a small frame but I'm no giant at 5'7. I don't ride gears so what side is the front chain right and what side is the back chain ring for my levers? Lol. Im surprised as this bike is in such amazing condition still. Anything I should look out for or change? I'm 30mins this will be the first time I've rode a road bike ever, I'm 45 btw lol. As much as I love bmx it gets a bit old standing up all the time these days. Oh yeah it's a giant ocr2, very early 2000s I believe, 3x8 and sora groupset lol, but decent I think MAVIC cxp21 rims Good enough for me so far lol. It did come with a cool cateye Enduro 2 computer too 🤣. These tyres say 100psi, so did my bmx tyres but at 100psi on a 4130 frame you rattle your fillings out, I'm assuming this will be smoother with the aluminum frame and hybrid carbon fork?
Ps, how do I hook up the sora flight deck triple to a PC? And what does it show me? Just what gear it's in?
