It is actually wild to watch a fandom built on global sisterhood descend into a mess of racism and xenophobia. We are seeing a massive segment of this community use the most bottom tier rhetoric to justify their biases whether it is using featurism to pick apart Manon or using xenophobic stereotypes to question the talent of the other girls. People are out here relying on tired tropes about work ethic yet they claim they care about the success of the group. You cannot say you support a global group while you are busy reinforcing the same exclusionary barriers that keep diverse people out of the industry.

The double standards are insane when you look at how accountability is selectively handed out. It feels like some people are just waiting for an excuse to launch into racist or xenophobic tropes and weaponizing every minor mistake as proof that a member does not belong. Whether it is targeting Manon or making prejudiced comments about the backgrounds and appearances of the other girls it is all the same toxic behavior. If the global part of katseye was just an aesthetic for you to consume until it got too real then you are not a fan of the group. We really need to ask why so many of you are more concerned with defending the group from its own diversity than holding yourselves accountable for the hateful environment you have created and foster everyday.
