In need of financial assistance

Hello! I’m 18 and recently moved into my first apartment this summer, and have been struggling to keep up with the bills. I’m a CH35 VA recipient, meaning I get approximately $1,574 per full month that i’m enrolled with a university. Unfortunately, because the first payment doesn’t arrive until early September, and stop during the summer, I’ve been struggling to find ways to make money.

I’m an Instacart Shopper in a fairly large city, but it just isn’t cutting it and i’m starting to have to pay bills late. I also am expecting a call-back from a minimum wage job tomorrow or Wednesday. So please be assured that I am not just slacking and looking for an easy way out. That being said, I’m looking for a $300-$400 LOAN, to be paid back October 3-5 (when my first full check comes) in full.I’m also more than willing to do odd jobs, remote work, anything that I could do for a little extra cash for groceries, utilities, and mainly gas so I can continue to Instacart.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and offer any advice or financial assistance that you’re in a position to give.

Rent Due Date Today- Updated

Hi everyone! Some of you guys might remember a post I made a few days ago about needing financial assistance to pay for my rent that is due today (07/10). Through the suggestions of some of the comments I was able to make $350/$600. I do want to clarify a couple things a lot of people had questions about. I am 18 with Chapter 35 VA benefits, so once I am re-enrolled into my new community college, I will receive $1,300 a month to cover living expenses as well as tuition paid. The financial situation I am currently in is because I do not get paid while not in school. I was using university housing, but unfortunately the school was entirely too expensive for me to continue with, and my parents were not an option. My mom is struggling to make ends meet with my siblings, and I don’t know my father. A lot of people were also suggesting I ask for money from friends, to which I have, but my friends are also young adults struggling in the economy. My responsibility as a friend is to ensure they don’t feel pressured to fund my hardship while working through their own, and they’ve given as much as they can. Donating plasma was also mentioned, but because I am 98lbs, and the minimum is 110lbs I cannot. (I had someone comment telling me to “eat up” but clearly purchasing excess food isn’t an option.) I am able to eat, and my weight is purely due to my height, but it’s still not an option. I currently work with RDSolutions as a research associate, as well as instacart and a dog training facility.

Truly, any advice or financial help would be greatly appreciated. I am able to do a loan-type option on here, and could pay you back by september/october (when the VA check comes.) Thank you again to anyone who took the time to read this.

Scam !

this guy messaged me yesterday from a post I made in this group earlier in the week, offering $20 per quiz that I did, saying he understood my situation, etc. I did everything he had asked, and i’m fairly certain he blocked me. Just wanted to share here considering they are most likely targeting people in financial hardship.

Hi everyone!

This is my first time making a reddit post, but unfortunately with my situation it looks like i’ve run out of options. I’m an 18 year old college student, who just moved into an apartment so that I could continue going to school. I was attending a 4 year university, but because of financial difficulties, I had to transfer to a community college in the area. They do not offer housing, and my parents simply weren’t an option. I’m working a few jobs right now (animal caretaker, instacart, and a part time data entry position) but no matter how I budget and save, I’m not able to afford my rent. It’s $600, but because i’ve burnt through my savings getting in, I have $135.27, with some spare cash in my car/purse/etc (~$5-15). I’ve never asked for help publicly before, and have always been driven to make my own life for myself. I’m open to suggestions for budgeting, work, payment options if anyone has any useful insight. I truly appreciate the time you took to read through this, and of course any advice is more than appreciated.

Edit: I’m realizing now that I should’ve put contact/transfer info here, my cashapp is $BraelynJohnson5

Thank you very much,
B🫶
