Does anyone have any tips on preventing fragrances I encounter out in the world from sinking in and clinging to my hair? My hair is long enough that washing it is a chore I'd rather only do once a week, so I'd really like to have a way of going into shops or using public transport without needing to immediately wash it again.

Currently, I wear a hat and put my hair into either a bun or a braid which I tuck into my jacket. Nevertheless, fragrances find ways to stick to my hair (even if I'm only there for a matter of minutes!) and I end up having a reaction and/or migraine attack later on.
