M25:Please suggest me

My dermatologist suggested starting a 5% minoxidil + finasteride topical solution for hair loss. The problem is that I’m sensitive to strong smells and fragrances—I can’t tolerate heavily scented products.
Can anyone recommend a fragrance-free or very low-fragrance 5% minoxidil + finasteride topical solution? I’d also appreciate hearing about your experience with brands that have little to no smell.

Can't escape fragrances in this household (rant)

Idk if rants against fragrances are allowed because it's not specifically beauty related but mods please delete if not allowed.

Im currently living with my best friend and her family and she got mad at me for unplugging the wall ferbreeze thing she got because it was too strong which I didn't understand why she got so angry because when she first got it and plugged it in I asked her if we could unplug it because it was giving me a headache and she agreed that it was too strong so we didn't have it plugged in again for a while and then she plugged it in again so I kept taking it out. That's when she said "you think I don't notice you're unplugging it" and I was like "well... You said it was too strong before too why are u switching up now... And im unplugging it for a reason I'm not tryna piss u off or get on your nerves it's just giving me a headache and it makes me feel like I'm suffocating. I can't even go to the bathroom cause they spray insane amounts of ferbreeze in there it's genuinely suffocating and the bathroom has no fan and the window is painted shut so theres absolutely no air flow what's so ever. It's so frustrating having to deal with this I keep crying because fragrances are so bad for your lungs it's poison in disguise I don't want to subject myself to this any longer ;(. I honestly have no other choice but to move out and go to a shelter cause I'm not going to force them to change their lifestyle for me eaither I don't wanna be more of a burden than I already am living here being homeless and unemployed should I even have the right to complain.

No smell UV and Heat Hair Treatment

I have a disorder that lead me to being mostly bald. I just got a human hair wig for the first time and the wig maker stressed that I should get a UV and heat protectant especially if I style it with tools. I haven't had hair since age 12 so I'm clueless. I declined the one she sells (revlon I believe) because most hair products give me headaches from fragrances being so close to my nose. Is there a FF product that does both things? What about shampoo/conditioner for colored hair? TIA

Adding this to the list of reasons why I have anxiety about being in public spaces where other people aren't concerned fragrances in the air / on surfaces.

Saw this on /r/anticonsumption and it just brutally reminded me of how unpleasant it is just trying to do normal things like using Uber in other people's cars, washing your hands in public, or finding a new hairstylist 😭 at least I can (mostly) control the products being used in my personal space at home 🤧

Skinsafe badge

I have found that many if not most products labeled as unscented or fragrance free do not have a fragrance free badge on Skinsafe. I have found that those products often cause a reaction eventually.

Skinsafe wouldn’t send me their parameters for the badge, but from my experience, that badge is the only way I can tell if something is safe for me to use long term.

They rely on users to add and update products when they change. I would appreciate your participation!

Priceline home brand hair products - surprisingly fragrance free

For any of you looking for cheap fragrance free hair styling products, Priceline has a new haircare range. I've only tried the gel (on long 2c/3a hair) and it seems to be good (based on my limited first impression), though I don't have enough of a point of comparison to say anything more than my hair looks better with it than without anything. They have a heat protectant (!!), oils, and a few anti-frizz things. And it's actually cheap! My general approach to cosmetics (exception maybe being makeup, because it's fun, but I still only get drugstore stuff) is the less money and effort to get the bare minimum, the better. I don't want to have to pay luxury prices for fragrance free products (even if I get luxury quality results) because I just don't care enough for that one type of frivolity (which is to say I prefer my other frivolities, not that there's anything wrong with frivolous pursuits). I'm just weirdly happy to be able to have cheap off-brand products again ;-;

Anyway, I'd love to know if anyone else has tried anything from this range

Please sign this petition to ban fragrances in Australian medical settings (I believe anyone can sign it). https://c.org/RgmR4JZRtX

As someone with MCAS I can’t get safe medical care. This isn’t my personal petition but I’m passing it on :)

Head and shoulders bare FF

If anyone has used this let me know if you like it. I’ve tried almost every fragrance free shampoo, cerave made me have extreme contact dermatitis, vanicream is drying. I can’t afford things in the seen range. I do not have dandruff but do suffer with an extremely itchy scalp. I’d like to hear your experiences with this product please!

unscented pomade? / hair products

I've been getting into doing brush outs/wet sets- but I'm extremely sensitive to using scented products. Headaches like clockwork. And I finally got of the water based suavecita pomade and I really like the way it makes my hair look. I thought I couldn't know if would give me a headache until i got it... but I am thinking I need to find a unscented alternative. So I've come to ask- what unscented options are there for products for this kinda styling.

What’s a recommended full coverage foundation?

Hello! I’m searching for a full coverage foundation with no fragrance. I’m open to both drugstore and high end ones :)

EDIT: thank you all for the suggestions. I decided to go with the NARS foundation after poking around more in this sub Reddit and on the Sephora website :)

Love this new shampoo/conditioner!

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but I finally found my fragrance free shampoo/conditioner after failing miserably with multiple products. Cerave hydrating fragrance free. I’m obsessed! Sharing with anyone that will listen. My fight is over!

Allergic to Conditioner Preservatives. Now mixing glycerin, Aloe, Distilled Water.

I am allergic to fragrance. I get away with wearing perfume but if it's in make up or skin care, my face swells. My face was still swelling with Cleure fragrance free conditioner I did the patch test and I'm allergic to linalool, which is a preservative in basically every skin care item and conditioner.

My doctor set me up with ADCS Camps. It did say I can use Harklinikken Daily conditioner but I'm finding it's causing some swelling. The other conditioners recommended on the app were for people with coarse hair and I have medium and easy to manage hair.

I need something to smooth my hair. I read online, you can mix together distilled water, pure aloe, pure organic glycerin, and jojoba oil. I made this as a leave-in conditioner. I don't store it or anything. I just make a small amount for each washing. I don't know if anyone's ever done this before long-term.

Seen vs Cloudd

Does anyone have any experience comparing these two brands?
I’m looking for a FF heat protectant/leave-in/styling cream and both of these brands have good options.
I’m still learning what works best for my 2b waves, but mostly looking for heat protection before diffusing.
Any advice is appreciated!

In desperate need of a fragrance free shampoo that works on really oily hair in a house with hard water (please not recommendations if you don't have oily hair)

I feel like my hair has gotten so oily lately. I cannot afford a soft water shower head or home system and I travel enough to places that have hard water that I need a shampoo that works even with hard water. I'm honestly ok if I use a system, like put something on my hair before showering, but I tried putting cornstarch on my hair right before showering to soak up the oil but that didn't work well enough. I have to shower at night due to a chronic illness and by the next day, my hair is already starting to get oily. Dry shampoo just doesn't work well enough for it to be my go to solution all of the time. Has anybody found something that works?
