Cerave shampoo - weird smell

I have been using Vanicream shampoo and conditioner forever (and several other of their products). My hair has been getting really dry at the end recently so I picked up a bottle of Cerave shampoo and have been patch testing it in the shower. It has a mild “chemical” smell to me. My hair really holds onto smell smells and I’m not sure I want to be smelling this all the time. Anybody else have this experience? I feel like it’s recommended on this sub all the time and I’m disappointed.

What should I expect from skin allergy testing?

I have super sensitive skin and it’s only gotten worse with age. I know that I can’t use fragrance products and I generally use brands that are designed to be gentle (Vanicream, Cerave, etc.) But I still get irritated by product sometimes, especially on my hands where I get dishydrotic eczema.

I think I should get patch testing at the Dermatologist to figure out what I’m really allergic/sensitive to. But I’m freaked out! Is it going to itch like crazy? I’m assuming that I can’t scratch right? What exactly is the process? And if you’ve done it, did you think it was worth it?

When/how to take Vyvanse?

My PCP suggested Vyvanse for my BED (and turns out I probably also have ADHD, which I should have figured out because it runs on both sides of my family and it’s highly heritable). I just picked up the prescription, I’m starting 10 mg.

I’d love to hear about what’s worked best for you for taking it. Do you take it very first thing in the morning? Wait till you have eaten something? Take it later so it helps with nighttime binging? Anything else I should know?
