Anyone like K18 hair products and want to help me beg the company to make a fragrance-free “sensitive” line?

Anyone like K18 hair products and want to help me beg the company to make a fragrance-free “sensitive” line?

My hair looks amazing today thanks to K18 hair products. My hair stylist uses them and I always want that pro blowout look for my wavy hair. However, I’ve also got hives all over my body and an inflamed itchy scalp. I don’t think I react to things like sulfates etc. It’s the fragrances. If this company would just do a run leaving the fragrances out, wouldn’t allergy sufferers of all kinds beat down their overpriced doors? Covid has left an increasing number of people super sensitive to scents. Sure it’s a longshot, but you lose 100% of the battles you don’t fight. Anyone wanna help me plead for a fragrance-free version of their products? For me, I think it would be as simple as just leaving a single ingredient out. Wouldn’t it be great to have one high-end line offer fragrance-free products?

Thanks. Now forgive me. I’ve got to shower this stuff off.

People who have had surgeries while taking GLP1s….

I’m told I’ll need to abstain from GLP1s for two weeks prior to some surgical digestive exploration (not GLP-related). Has anyone else been through this? What happens when you start up again? What have doctors told you to do? I’m meeting with my primary care to sign off on surgery and will ask him then (he is cool with me using compound), but I’m curious if anyone else has gotten medical advice on restarting after a surgical procedure or experienced something unexpected.

Tirz arrived slightly warm

I ordered and the package was sent overnight, no delivery delay though my morning delivery arrived at 5:30 p.m. The small ice pack was room temperature and my tirz was slightly warm, not hot. Did I just waste my money on a 3-month supply? I didn’t plan to start using these vials for a month. For $550, you’d think they could afford better shipping materials. This is the first time this has happened.

Edit: -3 downvotes immediately. Gee. I wrote to Quaker to ask but very annoying it’s in dark brown bottles so I can’t tell if it’s cloudy or has particles as the web suggests I should do.

Haptoglobin less than 10

I’ve been diagnosed with autoimmune hemolytic anemia, likely Evans Syndrome. At the time I was diagnosed, my white blood cells, platelets and red blood cells were all low and my haptoglobin was 8. My doctors all freaked out. This is believed to be part of my post viral syndrome from Covid. I was just randomly tested last week and my haptoglobin came up 10. I’ve been very tired and weak. I was on monthly IVIG after the first episode, which seemed to fix most of it, and have remained stable until now. It’s a year and a half since I’ve had a known crash. I realize this is not a super common issue, but if there are any real hematologists here, anyone want to tell me if this is as bad as it seems? I’m having this result despite being on monthly high dose IVIG. My white blood cells are low too but I have Sjögren’s and that doesn’t seem to indicate anything too awful to my doctors, especially since I’m on IVIG. My Coombs test didn’t come up positive in the past but was only tested post crisis after the IVIG was working. I’ve been told since I was a kid that my spleen was enlarged. Is that beast going to need removal? My reticulocytes have tested high ever since this issue was noticed. I’m not panicking, I deal with a lot of medical stuff, but I can be impatient. I’m seeing my hematologist Thursday and will certainly defer to what she says but anyone else have input as far as how bad that result is?

Edit: I’m trying to find out if a CBC was done the same day or if anything else was tested but maybe not because I had a CBC from two weeks before. A new rheumatologist ordered the test. Unsure what other tests were done. Was just part of a new patient workup.

Ozempic for MCAS

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but Ozempic, even at low doses, slows down your stomach dramatically. I am not cured but my stomach issues improved massively after starting Ozempic. If anyone here is exhausted by their toilet, ask your doctor or a compounding telehealth (cheaper). I saw some posts on this but they were a year old so I thought I’d share my experience in case anyone benefits from this.

Fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD) coming from BAM to these pages

As someone who was once paid to argue with companies spewing FUD, I see it all over these pages. For those of you not familiar with this strategy, it means causing people to question themselves through deliberately generated fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Here is Wikipedia’s definition:

Fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) is a manipulative propaganda tactic used in technology sales, marketing, public relations, politics, polling, and cults. FUD is generally a strategy to influence perception by disseminating negative and dubious or false information and is a manifestation of the appeal to fear.

Consider it corporate gaslighting, or a specific type of negative astroturfing.

If I was employed by BAM, I would be here posting “innocent” questions like “how much money do you think Ben will get from Bryan’s GoFundMe?” when the GoFundMe has always been for Bryan, because that’s how GoFundMes work. Or saying, “Chrystal seems shady, does anyone think she stole the LEGOs? Lol.” Or “Chrystal had three ledgers,” with no proof of this shown. Or “Why did Crystal take some of the most expensive items home? She probably wanted them for herself,” when those items are the only ones Bryan says were returned because they were kept safe. Another obvious example is Josh’s lame comment suggesting that Ben stole the LEGOs. Josh is a dumbass. He’s not good at it, but the intention to deceive was there.

People can be swayed by such comments over time. People eventually start remembering these dodgy questions or veiled lies as fact. Others might innocently repeat these lies as something they read somewhere, spreading the FUD. Most of the comments that I believe are FUD are being aggressively downvoted today. But this is likely to continue, and over time doubts can grow. If you see this type of post or comment, continue to give them the negative karma they are due.

No reasonable person thinks the cops were honest here and they were clearly directed to harass Ben and Bryan by Ammon. That’s extremely bad. Worse than hanging a “we steal from old people” sign on a business that stole from an old person. Stealing someone’s entire business, falsely accusing someone of using heroin, or lying about someone calling in a death threat is worse than whatever happened to the LEGOs. No one thinks Josh is in the right as his story has constantly changed. The moment he said, “Well, I didn’t sign the consignment agreement” as a defense, we knew he didn’t even understand the basics of buying a business. If you compare Chrystal’s actions to BAM corporate’s constantly changing story, threats, bullying, and bullshit, no reasonable person would think BAM was innocent. Continue to recognize FUD for what it is.

Grocery subscription add-on false advertising? If you can get 1- hour grocery delivery windows in your area, respond!

Amazon advertises a grocery subscription, and I admit their prices are cheap, but this subscription marketing seems to be a total lie. I cannot get 1-hour delivery windows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Oakland, Brooklyn, Nashville or Orange County. So where can I get them or is this a class action lawsuit waiting to happen? Who is getting these 1-hour deliveries? None of the 13 customer support agents they made me talk to tonight could name one city. Los Angeles was an early test market for Amazon Fresh. If I can’t get 1-hour windows, I don’t think anyone can.

My neighbor got a delivery at 7 a.m. that was left on the sidewalk outside a parking gate 50 feet from his door, no one rang his bell, and he had to fight a family who had started to walk off with his stuff. Bragging about mandatory contact-free grocery delivery in 2026 just says you’re lazy and out of touch. We spend $100 or more, ring our damn bell! Going back to Instacart.

Is losing weight on GLP1s *really* easy?

There are always haters who think people who use GLP1s are lazy people who refuse to exercise or eat right, and the shot just magically drops weight without any effort. They think losing weight this way effectively is bad or cheating for some reason. People on GLP1s point to the exercise they are now able to do and say they manage their diet better without food noise, but this falls on deaf ears with the “you didn’t earn your weight loss” crowd.

I don’t think taking GLP1s is as easy as those people imagine. GLP1s make that weight loss *possible*, but it’s not as easy as they claim. Most people enjoy eating. The drug takes away most of that joy and makes it harder to eat. People get constipated. People get nausea. They lose joy they once found in other activities too. Sometimes this is a good thing, but much of the time, people choose their health at the expense of some feelgood dopamine. Anyone who really wanted to eat, would just stop the drug, or start delaying doses. But you kept with it, didn’t you? Choosing to stay on it means putting your health first, and yes, it somewhat forces you to eat healthy. But you’re still doing that. No shame in your game. Don’t let these comments get to you. Reducing calories is how you lose weight and you’re all doing that. Losing weight helps us all move better.

The people who hate on GLP1 users need to focus on building compassion in themselves and learn to accept that some people have medical issues or brain chemistry that makes prolonged calorie cutting highly unlikely without these life saving drugs. You are doing the right thing for yourself by getting help and should ignore these people in your life and on the internet.

ETA: Fwiw, I was triggered by the comments on this post about Mindy Kaling. I’m not saying it doesn’t make something previously impossible easier, but people are changing their diets and making the same healthy changes they would in a traditional diet, so STFU. It takes some discipline to stick with the drugs. We should be happy for anyone who gains control of their fitness.
