Amazon customer support after loosing 2 of my packages
What can I say I feel sorry for Arlene but man.
I was planning on leaving once my Prime membership ended, as I don't want to support them anymore. But something has happened to customer service recently, and I don't want to put up with it for even one more order.
Amazon Closed my Account??
Okay so, a few days ago, I placed my pretty much yearly Amazon order (I only order from Amazon 1-3 times a year in big orders). Today, I get an email saying that they've cancelled my order. I'm thinking it's like before when they've done that because I forgot to unlock my card but no--they're accusing me of "suspicious activity" and told me to go to another site to upload my ID for review.
I've never been asked to do that, so I googled it and someone on Reddit said they got it reversed by emailing ofm@amazon.com.
So, I did. I said I refuse to upload my ID to a third party and requested that they remove the stoppage on my account. No reply. Then, a few minutes ago, I get an email stating that they've closed my account due to violation of the conditions of use. Not sure what I've violated because I've been an Amazon user for years now and I placed my order like always.
Anyway, I'm taking my business elsewhere because these are just too many hoops to jump through to buy straw cleaners, replacement straws, a camera case, phone case, sneakers and a few other odds and ends for myself. I was mainly using Amazon for the convenience of not tracking five different websites.
Has anyone else experienced this?? It's absolutely bizarre to me.
Excellent explanation of how Amazon deliberately drives people out of business
While researching on amzon, I am surprised when reviewing promising looking products, with substantial number of postive reviews from verified purchasers but also have this "warning". How do others interpret this message?
Is what this seller did ethical?
I bought a Novilla mattress in May, but I didn't like it and left a review stating so. The seller contacted me and offered a $200 gift in exchange for deleting my review, posting a more positive one, and giving a 5-star rating. It is really not right for anyone to accept such an offer, because the mattress isn't actually good. I had heard of things like this before; they are likely buying reviews. What they are doing is misleading customers. It involves taking something that isn't actually good and paying people to write reviews claiming it is, or purchasing this service from providers who generate positive reviews and 5-star ratings. I reported this situation to Amazon, but they didn't do anything about it. Just be careful if you are planning to buy a mattress. Nowadays, everything is a sham; people buy their way into making things look good. I can't trust anything anymore.
Edit: I had been waiting to hear back from Amazon for weeks. Naturally, they didn't get back to me. I contacted them again. Now they are telling me that the email address isn't an official one, so there is nothing they can do about it. They think they're so clever; apparently, that email address isn't the official one—it might be a scammer's message, and I'm supposed to be wary. They're trying to cover it up. The seller knows my email address and knows I bought this bed; they want me to change my review to a 5-star rating and say they'll give me a $200 Amazon gift card in return. It's unbelievable—they really think I'm stupid.
PLEASE DO NOT BUY NOVILLA MATTRESS
Amazon Lockers ALWAYS "Full" Lately
I've always kept like six or seven different lockers (locations) in my list of addresses, just so I would always have a location available no matter where I am in my city at any particular time.
For the past month or so, EVERY single locker location is supposedly "full" and I'm asked to choose a different one. I try every location on my list every time, and they're always "full".
This has never happened before, and it's starting to piss me off, because I need to be able to order things when I need items.
Has this been happening with anyone else? Does anyone (maybe employees) know what the hell's going on?
My Amazon Account was closed for no legit reason?
Hi everyone, I need help please! Amazon closed my account and gave me 2 reasons which are absolutely incorrect- I violated their return and refund policy and they found another account of mine... which are both not true. I do not have another Amazon account and I did not abuse their refund/return policy, ever! I also never got a warning while using my account ever so none of this makes any sense. Even one of the reps I've spoken with said that he sees nothing wrong with my account... I've had my Amazon account for about 12 years and I was always in good standing. I do not know what to do. I keep calling customer service with no success (keep giving me the run around) and the Amazon Account Specialists stopped responding to my emails.... I have $500 of gift card money on my account that I don't want to lose. Any advice please?!
account restricted??
basically i ordered a gaming pc and it caught on fire i submitted proof and everything along with my claim. I contacted support and they told me to submit more photos and i did a day after i contacted them again to get an update on the situation they responded with “I have checked the details for you and the pictures for you, so you do not need to return this item. You can keep the item or you can discard the item. You will get the returnless refund for this item.
Because it is dangerous and hazardous to use.” and yes i have email confirmation of the refund. Okay so I thought this whole situation was over, NOPE i receive an email about my account being restricted to only digital order or wtv and they cancelled the refund that they processed. So now I just appealed and gave them the whole timeline of all the events, last resort is to charge back through my bank 🤷♂️
HORRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Horrible customer service experience with Insta360. Sharing so no one else has to go through this — unless they fix it first.
Background: I ordered the Insta360 Luna Ultra on June 10th through Buy with Amazon (sold by Insta360, shipped/fulfilled by Amazon Prime), timed to arrive before my honeymoon. Been waiting to use this camera for my honeymoon trip to Dolomites ever since the news spread about the release of Luna Ultra.
The Issue: It didn’t arrive in time — Amazon Prime told me it would be 4 days late, past my departure date. Since it hadn’t even shipped yet, I asked them to cancel. The agent confirmed in writing: “You will see the order being cancelled in next 24 hours and the refund on the cancelled order will reflect in next 7 business days to your original payment method.” And no camera for the honeymoon.
The Bigger Failure: Three weeks later, on July 4th, I got an email from Insta360 saying the order had shipped. And when I checked my bank account, it was never refunded. I’ll be out of town again for a bit over a month, so I cannot return it in time when it gets delivered. My concern was that I won’t be able to get it refunded.
I went back to talk with Amazon, who said there was nothing they could do at this point and told me to contact USPS directly, because they are handling the delivery. USPS’s contact line Amazon provided didn’t work on the holiday weekend, and their “email us” link went nowhere. I circled back to Amazon Prime, who redirected me to Insta360.
Insta360’s opening response was to ask if I was sure I wanted to return their “newest and most powerful product,” lolol then explain that since it was fulfilled through Amazon Prime, I’d need to go back to them — the same loop. The order also included a free gift (a Black Mist Filter) shipped separately from Insta360’s own warehouse. They said returning it required a $12 shipping fee on my end, for a gift I never asked to be shipped, tied to an order I’d cancelled three weeks before it left the warehouse.
I pushed for a full refund of $838.33. I’d already sent proof — a screenshot of the Amazon agent’s cancellation confirmation from June 13th — but was then asked for more screenshots showing that Amazon told me to contact Insta360, which doesn’t exist because I had no reason to think I’d need to preserve a chat log as evidence.
When I asked directly if a full refund was guaranteed, the answer was no; it depended on whether they’d waive the $12 fee??? When I explained I’d be out of town starting July 6th early morning, the response was that they’d try to expedite. But expedite what?
At one point, when I said that I cannot physically receive or return the package, an Insta360 agent asked whether a friend or family member could do it on my behalf… lol
Current Status: This morning, 24 hours before I leave, I was told the package would arrive today instead of tomorrow — which changes nothing, since USPS is closed Sundays and I’ll be gone before they reopen Monday.
But regardless, I wait for the package, hoping that I’ll be able to return the item somehow and get the refund. So I wait, and receive an email from my building’s front desk that I have an Amazon delivery package. And I know it’s THE PACKAGE, because it’s the only package that I have it planned. However, when I go pick it up, the package is not there. When I checked my email, it said the package is held for pickup at carrier location.
When I asked the Amazon agent what happened, his explanation was that USPS may have flagged me as unavailable and routed it back — despite my front desk having already received and logged it in their system.
Insta360’s position is that they never asked the delivery company to wait for me to pick up the package myself, and they can’t do that either. They also mentioned possible “compensation” with no amount or details attached. According to them, they escalated the issue to their superiors, but will have to wait 1-2 days to see what happens.
Neither Amazon nor Insta360 contacted USPS according to them. Then how did USPS know to un-deliver the package? And why did Amazon tell me to contact them in the first place?
TL;DR: I ordered Luna Ultra, does not get delivered in time. I request to cancel the order. I get written promise of a full refund.
Three weeks later, the item gets shipped. I check my bank account, I never got it refunded. But I’ll be out of town for the a bit over a month, so will be missing the 30 day return window after it arrives.
Insta360:
🚩 “Talk to Amazon Prime, not our problem”
🚩 Tried to charge me $12 for shipping to return a product that I canceled three weeks ago
🚩 When I said I’ll be gone for the whole month and no one else could receive it, an Insta360 agent asked if a friend or family member could pick it up on my behalf. Asking me to spend other people’s time and energy fixing their shipping mistake
Amazon Prime:
🚩”Talk to Insta360, we can’t do anything.”
🚩 “Contact USPS yourself to stop the delivery.”
USPS:
🚩Delivers it → un-delivers it → now tells me to go pick it up myself at their facility
⚠️** Warning for All**: If you buy from the Insta360 store and it’s fulfilled through Amazon Prime, be aware that a problem can turn into an indefinite loop between the two, with no one taking ownership.
This isn't customer service at all. It's two companies dumping their shipping/inventory failures directly onto the customer and betting they'll eventually give up from sheer exhaustion. Now I’m the one who has wasted all the time, energy—especially on this holiday weekend right before my trip, and maybe even $838.33 if they don’t refund it back to me.
I was genuinely excited about Insta360’s new camera, but EXTREMELY disappointed with this whole “customer service.” Just get a DJI everyone lol
Will Amazon Freak Out If I Redeem a Bunch of Gift Cards?
Normally I wouldn't worry about this but I know Amazon has been a little weird lately. I want to put $400 in my gift balance for birthday presents and stuff but I can only find $50 gift cards. Will Amazon freak out if I redeem 8 in a row?
Who knew?
I had no idea until I opened up the Earnify app a few minutes ago. Today is the last day.
Fake refund email?
So I was supposed to get a refund for these sheets I got. They sent this email as “confirmation”, but I never got a refund. Wtf? They were $147.41 by they way not 14k 😭
Please help! someone explain?
When the package arrived, I opened it in front of the delivery driver, and the package was completely empty. The driver told me he would check the storage area to see what had happened. He never marked the order as delivered. Instead, he told me he had canceled the order and advised me to place a new order.
I explained the entire situation to customer support. The first agent told me they could not help until the order was marked as complete. Later, I checked my order and saw that it had been marked as completed and delivered, so I contacted Live Chat again. This time, I was told to contact them on July 3.
On July 3, I tried to contact Live Chat as instructed, but I was unable to get any assistance. I have continued trying every day since then, but I still cannot access support. I am beginning to wonder if my account has been blocked, although I do not know why that would be the case.
I have always been polite and respectful to every support representative. I have been an Amazon customer for over 10 years, and this is the first time I have ever needed to ask for help with an order. I am simply asking for a fair resolution to an order that I never received.
Prime Household benefits gone? No payment or address change
I have the upstairs apt and the main prime account is the downstairs. It's family, so everything gets addressed to the front porch and we just divy it up by the name.
A couple months ago, my benefits on shipping and zero minimum orders disappeared. I never used music or video streaming.
Nothing changed! Same credit card, same name, same address. Like literally the same address.
They've checked the account and I'm still in there for Household sharing, or whatever it's called.
What happened? In the meantime, I've entirely stopped buy from Amazon because I can find the same things within a dollar or two at other stores like Bestbuy or Walmart, obviously if I can buy things all in one place that's more convenient.
WTF? I will believe it when I see it.
I ordered an Odin 2 Portal. I was leaving on vacation for the 4th of July. I ordered it in advance on PRIME to make sure it would be here before. Said I was suppose to get it on the 3rd. It kept getting delayed and then now its the 4th I know they are not going to ship it but two supervisors swore an oath to the heavens it would come today. I didnt hold my breath. I contacted them again today just to get a fricken clue where it is and when it will arrive. Was going to have one of my staff pick up from my home and ship to my vacation rental. Im going to be out for 2 weeks and wanted to do some much needed gaming while gone. The last supervisor told me they are refunding my money. The item will be at my door by 7AM tomorrow. They told me to keep the item and then I got a cancellation notice. I dont know if I should be happy or sad. Does that mean I am getting a Odin 2 Portal for free because all the mistakes? Im slightly confused.
Anyone else getting 15 days Prime delivery?
We live in a rural area of Maine, but not in the middle of Nowhere. Placed an order this morning and the Prime shipping time is 15 days. Holy crap! For the last year the app shows 5-7 days, and the order is usually here in 10 days. FedEx is drowning out here, but this was a surprise to see. Anyone seeing this kind of time estimate?

Experiment
I’m doing an experiment to decide if I should cancel Amazon prime, I previously ordered a lot of things from them. I ordered an $8 mattress disposal plastic bag on Friday 7/3. They said it would be delivered Saturday July 4. Of course I knew that wouldn’t happen because the 4th is a holiday. So now it says delivery today. We’re expecting a heavy rain, so I put up water dans at the entrance to my off grade driveway and orange cones to stop Amazon from driving over them and destroying them (yep, they did it once and tore off plastic parts of their delivery van, plus destroying my water dams). This wouldn’t be a problem for Amazon if they had delivered yesterday as promised. Let’s see what happens with this order. I don’t mind losing $8 to test them. I live 1/2 mile from Lowe’s and will get a mattress bag from them if I need to. Will report back.
