I retired a few months ago after 25 year plus years. I used to work on reserve duty some nights and weekends. I thought my civilian job was hard. After retirement I now enjoy my job. I k8nda dont want to retire. This is weird to me. I guess the Reserves was the source of a lot stress. Have anyone else gone through a similira ephifany?
Hi, is there an easy way to transfer 300 GB one drive files to google drive? Is there a free version? If not, I want to avoid spending more than 60 USD.
hi does anyone know where these points are located at? I know where the the points are for the floor jack but I am not sure where i can place the jack stands.
Hey everyone, I’m reviewing my asset allocation and would love some feedback. I’m 50, and I have no debt—my house is fully paid off. In my TSP, I’m heavily invested in the 2060 target-date fund and also have some in the I Fund (international). For my regular IRA, it’s in a target-date fund, and my Roth IRA is 60% VOO and 40% SCHD. Across my two brokerage accounts, it’s 40% VOO, 30% SCHD, 20% SGOV, and 10% gold. Does this sound like a solid plan for my age, timeline, and risk tolerance? I’m open to any suggestions—thanks in advance!
I am looking for a quick sanity for those familiar with Reserve Component Chapter 61 Medical Retirement and the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP).
I am a Reservist retiring this month under 10 U.S.C. § 1204 (Permanent Disability Retirement List). My final numbers are:
I plan to elect Full Spouse-Only Coverage (Item 37.a on DD Form 2656).
My understanding of the statutory math under 10 U.S.C. § 1452(a)(4) and DoD FMR Vol. 7B, Chapter 43 is that my SBP calculations "decouple" to my advantage:
Can anyone confirm if DFAS systems cleanly execute this specific disability premium cap automatically based on the 1204 PDRL marker in DEERS, or do I need to explicitly walk the Retirement Services Officer (RSO) through this limitation on the DD Form 2656 to ensure they don't baseline the 6.5% premium off the full $7,436 gross?

Can you appeal a VARR? Is that even possible.
Second dose foot and muscle pain and cramps. Has this gone away for some? Or is this something that will linger on?
