Should I complain about a recent book mail delivery?

there was nothing wrong with the delivery itself (granted it took...FOREVER to get here today)

Both books were ordered, in the same order.

But I ordered two books. One came in a box, with some brown packing material on top, no doubt to "protect" the book, but the book still had some damages. Like a weird circle indent, like something circular and heavy must have been laying on the book....to leave a lasting indent...its crazy how noticeable it is. This same book also has this weird black gunk by the glue part on one end.

The second book, delivered at the same time, but this one came in a bubble mailer. I already knew it would have something wrong because without the box protecting it, there had to be something. Sure enough, this one had some dents, like it got rustled around. and there was this odd, dirty, smudge...on the page edges. I am not sure...what it is.

Should I complain? the damages do not damage the content inside, and I am not a "collector" like most, but still....I am a bit annoyed because I could have just went to target, picked the ones I wanted that were perfect. But I didn't. because Amazon was having a buy 1 get 1 sale and I had points, so I basically got them for free (girl math.)

Pictures included

UPDATE:
After reading the comments and asking my husband, he agreed with the majority of you. If I bought them brand new, which I did, then i should get them in the condition i paid for. He also agreed that they looked used.

So I contact customer service on amazon and got replacements. I’ll donate the damaged copies.

Thank you!

I never cared about my skincare....but

As the title says...I never used to care about skincare. I for years always had decent skin. A bit on the oily side. But honestly, it wasn't terrible.

UNTIL....I hit my 30's with Dry and Oily skin. I think I read somewhere that when your skin is really dry it starts to produce more oil to moisturize your skin barrier (I could be completely wrong but hey I read it one time and it's stuck in my brain forever.)

In addition to never caring about skincare, routines, whatever else, I am a chronic skin picker. I'd pop anything that came on my face, or use a handy dandy blackhead extractor to pull out anything from my face.

Now I am 36....and I can't stand my face. It's dry, its oily, its flakey in some areas like my nose, my cheeks. I have no idea what I am doing.

I tried to follow a skincare routine for a bit..but didn't see a difference. I did buy some of The Ordinary skin products like hyaluronic acid to keep my skin moisturized, niacinamide to combat break outs, glycolic toner, caffeine eye serum. I also got a BYOMA Jelly Cleanser....but I don't think it's doing much for my skin.

I don't know....I just don't know. I feel like....it is what it is now with my face and I kind of want something that's super low maintenance so I don't have a 20 step thing to do before bed...really need some guidance. So can someone just give me some advice...what should I use? how should I use it....etc.

EDIT:

ALSO I think my skin was perfectly fine until a few years ago...maybe like 4-5 years ago, I shaved my face. Like with a face razor obviously, and again had no idea what I was doing but everyone was doing it and hey I had some major FOMO and wanted a smooth face too. But since I didn't know what I was doing, I did end up cutting up my skin pretty bad, but no scarring or anything and no major damage....but I think that one time I did, set me up for disaster. like you do it once and you have to keep doing it forever situations.

Harvest Season Brynne Weaver Clues?

Hey everyone

maybe someone can shed some light on something I spotted? I think I was doom scrolling on Instagram and I noticed a few people with their special editions that they purchased I think directly from the author through exclusive pre orders. I noticed that in those editions, there are "clues" ? and I obviously don't have that. I pre ordered from B&N.

Can anyone explain what the "clues" are? what am I missing out on?

I feel like you can see the paint strokes

I don’t know if it’s just me

But I feel like I can see every stroke. And sometimes I have to go over certain spots to cover mistakes. And I know no one is going to stick their face up against it to see everything I see .

Am I crazy?

Picture is what I have currently completely so far on my WIP

looking for a specific trope?

I looked in the romance book reddit, but apparently this post isn't allowed there. So I want to try on here, maybe someone here can make some suggestions????

I am searching for any romance books with the stereotypical trope of they are best friends, but shes a virgin, and she asks him to teach her how to be everything for someone else. But then there's an unspoken tension and attraction between the best friends.

I would love spice in there, slow burn, best friends to lovers.

there is also a zombie king one, where he is king of the zombies and she is cast out of her group due to jealousy and nonsense, and falls in love with the zombie king.
