Advice needed-11 year old cat
My 11 year old cat has had digestive issues the past few months. On and off diahrrea, vomiting multiple times a week and constantly ravenous. I changed her diet. They put her on a round of probiotics, anti nausea medication, and something to stop the diahrrea, she was doing better for a few days.
She’s had blood work, and a sonogram. Cancer and parasites have been ruled out, vet doesn’t think it’s food allergies. Her intestines are inflamed which could be an Indicator of IBS. She appeared to have some fluid in her chest but wouldn’t contribute to her symptoms. Everything else is normal.
They put her on steroids and they don’t seem to be doing anything.
The diahrrea and vomiting started again and it’s projectile vomiting, it gets everywhere.
They recommended a gradual change to hydrolized cat food but it’s more than double the price of what she’s on now.
Vet said to maybe consider a chest xray.
I can’t afford any more tests at this time.
I don’t know what else to do at this point.
Other than the digestive issues she’s acting normal.
