Should I be concerned with these changing moles on my cats nose?

I’ve noticed these moles changing on my cats nose since April. When I went to the vet to get his nails trimmed I asked them to take a look and they said these moles are fine but I didn’t give them the context of these photos. I read online that these moles can be normal for light/orange coloured cats but the frequency of them changing is having me feel a bit worried. My cat has started to go outside in my backyard for a bit but it is pretty shady and he usually sits in the shade. I think he started to go outside in April and my mom thinks it’s just dirt.. Should I try taking him to another vet? Or is this normal and happens to other cats??

lump on my cat's head

We found this on my cat's head. He is an outdoor cat; he found us that way, and we can't change him. He's about 14. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Is my cat (13) breathing okay?

She’s purring so i don’t know if that’s affecting her breathing but she seems to be breathing pretty hard with her stomach. She’s acting fine otherwise though so I might just be paranoid but idk.

Please help - senior 16 year old cat

Hi, my cats name is Twinkie and he is 16 years old.

As of a couple weeks ago, he started having some health problems. He seems to have difficulty breathing and is having coughing fits. But those coughing fits have turned into wheezing and him only being comfortable laying on his side. When he's not laying on his side, he seems like he's having trouble breathing.

We took him to the vet this Saturday (5/16) where they gave him antibiotics and an allergy pill to take. So far, it does not seem like the antibiotics are helping him. In fact when I woke up this morning to go check on him he seems to be bleeding down there and I'm not sure if it's because he's straining to poop or pee. But his food bowl is untouched and I'm honestly not sure how much water he's drinking right now. He just honestly seems very lethargic and I don't see him move from the spot very often. A couple weeks ago he was still very energetic, playful, and talkative, senior cat. Now we're even lucky if we can get a meow from him. Please help out!

Is this outdoor cat too skinny?

Hi! I have this outdoor cat I see near where I live. He has a collar and hangs out near one house only, so he isn't feral. Very friendly and his fur is soft and well groomed (although I do think having an outdoor cat is abuse)

This is definitely not an adult cat. I know some cats are a bit skinny growing up, but my cat wasn't so I'm a little concerned for this guy. I can feel the ridges in his spine, and he has just a little bit of a belly. I only spent a minute with him, but he is very energetic and playful. He ran up to me and has last time (the first time) I saw him.

Just worried. If he is too skinny, should I leave a note at the house or something? What could I do? Or is it probably fine since he's still growing?

I have two well-fed indoor cats who are chunky BUT a healthy weight and those are my comparisons.

Bumps on both legs?

Hi everyone! I have a 3yo male neutered cat who has these strange bumps on his front legs. They’re both in the same spot and about the same size, and they don’t seem to bug him at all. My other cat doesn’t have anything like this.

It’s not the ankle pad it’s just above that.

They feel bumpy and have small hairs growing out of the spot.

Thanks in advance

Cat Dewormer

I got this for my cat and I was wondering anyone has used it and if it is a good product. If so were there any side effects. I’m a bit of a worry wart as this is my first cat. Thank you

Cat Coughing after eating grass

Lulu went outside very briefly this morning for about 10 mins and ate some grass off our lawn. She’s never had a problem after, mostly just throws it up and goes on with her day.
Today though she started coughing and heavy swallowing. She did throw up a small amount of white foam (will post in comments) and had a cough here and there but now it seems to have amped up.
She also is recovering from Cat Flu/URI/Feline Herpes has been cough free for 3 weeks from it tho and considered recovered as of last week when she had a flu shot.

How long do I let this cough go on for before I make her an appointment with our vet? Cause I’m in a tricky situation with work right now.

Older cat not eating.

Hey everyone! I have an older mixed breed female cat, she is in the 14-15 range. Over the last couple months she stopped eating dry food period, so we started trying to use wet food but her weight has kept dropping. She still drinks fine and her mobility has only gone down a little (basically she can't make some of the super high jumps she used to). She has also stopped maintaining her fur all together. Yesterday I tried a new brand of wet food to try and get her weight up and she gobbled it down only to throw it all up 15 minutes later. Today I tried the same brand but a different flavor, she smelled it and ate about a fingertip worth of the food but won't eat otherwise. I tried another flavor and again she smelled it but wouldn't eat it. Her energy levels seem really down today and she's not talking like she normally does. Is this a matter of she doesn't like the food or something deeper? Please, any ideas or information would be super helpful.

Update: she has eaten a little bit now! I also went out and got a different brand and she ate on that alot better! I'm still worried about her long term but my anxiety is waayyy down.

Found in Cat Poop. What is it?

I have 4 cats. All eating, drinking, and (until I found this) using the restroom properly. No behavioral changes. Age range 2-6 yrs. None have had health issues other than one having to get their teeth cleaned, resulting in tooth loss.

cat’s eye still not fully better after two vet trips

he is currently on his second treatment, with a different type of eyedrops.

he has already had a one week course of treatment that he finished a few weeks ago, and then i went back in as it still didn’t fully heal his eye.

now he is mid way through his 2nd one week course of treatment, but i’m still not seeing any improvement.

he is an only cat, that is indoors. he has previously lived with other cats (3 different ones from different flatmates i have had in the past).

attached are photos from the day i noticed, and a few from the first course of treatment, and some recently. it includes the date the photos were taken. (left eye in the pictures)

his eye just seems slightly swollen, and his third eyelid is covering his eye a bit, and is a bit pink.

any advice on what to do??? i’m really confused as to why nothing has been fixing this issue, especially considering visually wise, its quite a minor irritation.

Poster Age: 22
Country: UK
Vet info: eg: registered to medivet and has gone to the vet twice for this issue
Cat Age: 3 years old, tuxedo
Cat Sex + neuter info: male, neutered
Financial situation: can afford vet care

TLDR: cats eye is still not fully better after nearly two different course of treatments

Senior cat won’t let me sleep, cognitive disfunction

My cat (16.5 years old) has what the vets think is cognitive disfunction, she is physically healthy and good bloodwork but seems to get confused around certain behaviors especially at night. She wants me to walk her over to her food bowl over and over again, sometimes every five minutes, so she can eat a little bit and then repeat the process.

If i don’t walk over with her every time, she will paw at me, rip up things, meow loudly until I lead her over. At night she will not let me even fall asleep and will paw at me and meow in my ear until I get up. She can be pretty loud and I’m in a small apartment with thin walls and if I try to not respond it just escalates. The sleep deprivation has been awful.

The vet prescribed her 25 mg of gabapentin for at night but it hasn’t seemed to make any sort of difference. She has been tested for hypothyroid and doesn’t have it, but does have early kidney disease. I’ve tried night lights, timed feeders, etc and am at a loss. Some nights are better than others but there have been more bad nights lately. If anyone has any insight or advice it would be really helpful.

Do outdoor heated cat houses really stay warm enough?

I’ve been feeding a couple neighborhood cats for almost a year now and this winter has me stressing way more than usual 😭 Temperatures dropped hard this week and one of the cats keeps hanging around my porch looking absolutely miserable. I started looking into getting a heated cat house because the insulated tote setup I made last year suddenly feels less reassuring.

The one I keep seeing recommended is one of those elevated heated cat house setups with the built in warming pad, but I can’t tell how warm they truly stay once temperatures get seriously cold outside. Some reviews make them sound amazing while others say the cats barely use them unless food is nearby

.

Part of my anxiety is also the electrical side of things. I’m one of those people who double checks if appliances are unplugged before leaving home. I even found discussions comparing outdoor pet heating systems from some online shops reviews and pet shelter manufacturers trying to understand safety ratings better.

For people already using a heated cat house through winter, do the cats genuinely stay warm inside during freezing weather or should I still build.

Kitten breathes REALLY fast.

So my female kitten, whos around 6 months breathes really fast. Around 120 times per minute while sleeping. She’s otherwise great, really active and plays, eats normally. Something I noticed when I got her (4-ish months ago) was that her belly was unusually large but the vet disregarded it. Her breathing rate is really fast even when she’s in a cool, air conditioned room.

Her breathing looks abdominal and not as effortless. I’ve got another cat (3.5yrs old) and he’s totally normal.

I know this is not normal. I’ve been to the vet again and they’ve again disregarded my concerns saying it’s probably stress or because she’s in heat. I don’t think it’s that because even if shes in heat then the breathing shouldn‘t be so abdominal.

Can anyone please tell me what this possibly is, or what I should do next?

My cat had the smell of death coming from her mouth and her face was swollen. Vet said it was a impacted tooth, 2 days before surgery cat threw up, the swelling went down and no smell. Should I get a second opinion she is taking antibiotics and gums look healthy. Sorry so long

Severe drooling, no appetite, normal bloodwork – desperate for help

Hi everyone! This is my last hope to get some help.

About a month ago, my cat suddenly started drooling heavily, so we immediately took her to the vet. The vet said her teeth did not seem to have any major problems, only that her gums were a little inflamed, so she was given anti-inflammatory medication.

After one week there was no improvement despite the medication, so we took her back. She had blood tests done, and everything came back normal. The vet removed one inflamed tooth at that time. For about a week her condition and mood improved, but then suddenly she started drooling even more out of nowhere, stopped coming out, and stopped eating.

We took her back to the vet again, who rechecked her teeth and found everything normal, then sent us home saying they did not know what was wrong with her.

It has now been four days since then, and she refuses both food and water, seems lethargic, and barely comes out anymore.

What else could we do? We are taking her to another vet on Monday, but we are very worried something serious could happen before then…

18 year old dental diease

Hey guys, (also dont know whybher photos are labeled NSFW cause they are sfw.)

It seems my entire life is a dumpster fire lately. From losing my younger cat to SCC been cancer 2.5 weeks ago, a failed kitten adoption, and now my senior cat of 18 needing a tooth extraction and cleaning.

I noticed this morning that her rught fang was missing! I have no idea when that mught have happened! I took her to the vet and they think she has mild dental diease. A cleaning and possibly an extraction might fix it. She apparently, has lost another tooth without me knowing it.

gonna be honest, im terrified she will come back with oral cancer as well- though they dont think that's the case as she isnt showing symptoms like my poor orange baby did.

Shes a spicy purrito so they only got a brief look. Ive scheduled her appointment for this Monday and they will be doing a light gas sedation.

What i need is a little uplifting stories of your cats dental and how they came out of it. Im so scared its cancer again but I cant speak about my fears at home anymore. So, any support would be great.

The only known issue she has is arthritis in her back legs and a spicy personality.

Are these fleas? Mites?

Wife started seeing these all over her last few days, and she’d wake up itchy at night. Usually one of our cats sleeps on / next to her, but tonight he slept on me, and I woke up itchy / have these all over.

They seem too small to be fleas? And they aren’t jumping or biting, just running around. Can crush fairly easy with a finger. I’ll buy a flea comb today and see what I can comb out of the cat.

These are indoor cats, 8 months old, but we did have them outdoors in the grass once 5 weeks ago. The cat that I think might be carrying these is bright white (but super fluffy), I would think I would see these black specks easily on him but I don’t.
