Maine Coon’s jaw has been “catching” for 3 MONTHS after a dental, has anyone seen this before?
He got a dental done in May and he is 2 years old. Ever since his dental, his jaw seems to get like this anytime he yawns or opens his mouth big. I can't help, but feel the vet messed up his mouth and really bummed I took him in.
As a kitten, he did have his bottom fangs over his top fangs, but now his teeth have normal positioning. He is eating normally still and has never had this issue until the dental cleaning.
When I asked the vet about it, they said I should go to a dental specialist, which I literally just had 3 of my pets need major medical treatment with in the last 2 months so financially it's not in my budget, unless it was a emergency, which my vet said this isn't.
I'd love some direction on what we think happened and what this might be, please. It stresses me out to see him not look comfortable with that.
