We took in a stray cat that's in really bad shape
I think her face is covered in ringworm and we're taking her to the vet on Tuesday, but for now she's completely isolated from our other cats. It's been over 100°s for the past week, she drank the water we gave her like there was no tomorrow. How can we help her until the vet appointment and what are some measures we can take to prevent other cats from catching ringworm?
Update: we took her to the vet and she's better than before but still in bad condition. 93°F temperature, some kind of respiratory infection that's effecting her eyes, and weighing 4 pounds. We're getting medication and spending money on her despite that the fact that the vet offered to put her down, giving her an IV and some dewormer. He estimates her to be around 3 years old. Still, she's in high spirits. Grooming herself, drinking, eating, using the litter box, and doesn't seem to be in any pain. The respiratory probiotics we've been giving her are helping her chest clear up. She's seems happy and at peace with feeling love and care. We've brought cats back from worse than this, so I have faith. Even if she dies, I hope we can provide a proper death for this mistreated angel.
