Hi all! I’ve had my new baby (estimated 15 years old) for about a week. He came from the shelter with the name Zounds and I just don’t like it and don’t feel like it fits him. Since he’ll be with me for the rest of his life (and he doesn’t seem to know his shelter name as he was brought in as a senior), I want to give him a new name that’s better. He truly is just a little polite old man and is so incredibly sweet and I want his name to reflect that. He has a raspy meow so I figured with that, and his color, “Rusty” might be good but I’m still not convinced it fits him as it seems a bit too rough and tough if that makes sense? Any ideas are helpful! He’s been going by “baby” and “kitty” right now 😭
Me and my partner just adopted this little fuzz ball and are having a hard time picking a name that suits her. I love a fun cat name. My childhood cats were fish, sushi, and 8 ball. Just to explain the vibes. I really do enjoy off the wall names for cats. My friends have cats named Crunchwrap, miso and whopper. Personally I’d love to name a cat lunchbox but that simply doesn’t fit her.

Originally we were gonna name him "Fladdertje" (dutch, basically a cute version of "Flutter") after a bat role my sister had in a musical, but I really want a name with lots of nickname options so I'm a little unsure
My husband and I are struggling to name these two sweet girls. We prefer two syllable names but are open to whatever! We already have another cat named “coconut” who already uses every coco or nut based name so we’d like to stay away from those!

He's playful when awake and a cuddler when he's eepy. He was an unhoused kitten and was caught and is a very happy indoor-only housecat now. (Getting a new smart tag so it doesnt dangle - this is temporary!) He loves being baby. 🥺 we were thinking Milo or Nino or something short and similar to that. Help please!
Edit: thanks everyone for your suggestions! We'd been calling him Goose, as in silly Goose. It stuck! So this is my nee cat, Goose. 😂
She's very very hyper and playful! We adopted a litter of five and she's the one we haven't named. The others are Whisper, Lenny, Gracie, and....Squid. Can you recognize the only one that my mom let me name?😭 anywho! I'm allowed to name her too, we've been calling her runt since she was a baby but I want to give her a real name
Picked up this little guy today and I just keep calling him baby - he needs a name! We have a tabby named Smudge and I already told my daughter no to “Oreo” 😂 he also has no tail!

hey everyone!! as the above says, i posted in this group a few days ago asking for suggestions as to what i should name the pretty kitty i would soon be adopting. we finally got her today, and we finally settled on a name, a name a few of you had suggested in the original thread as well.
