Update: Online analysis outcome - cool summer?

Hey guys, I posted a few days ago asking for your opinion on my season - the vast majority said winter (lots of cool/true and some bright) but a few people thought summer.

I’ve just received my results from an online analysis with The Colour Mentor (IG) and her opinion is cool summer. I can’t share the report as it’s supposedly a copyright breach, however my list of best colours include dusty rose, smoky blue, mauve, cool taupe. She describes my palette as “soft, cool, refined”.

She based it off these same photos, as well as a collection from my past (hair colours, makeup, outfits etc). The first headshot (directly in front of window, no direct sunlight etc) is the closest representation of what I look like on an average day. I also provided some photos in different lighting conditions (one was under industrial LEDs - see last photo) in case it could be of any help. I have Raynaud’s and my skin becomes very blue and muted during a flare, which I made clear in the questionnaire.

I guess my question is whether you think I’ve been mistyped? Is it that my eyes are bolder with soft colours, even though my skin and shadows are much worse? Should I have left out the photos with unnatural lighting, or is it reasonable to think that I could indeed be a cool summer regardless?

NMIP, natural hair colour. Thanks!

Type me - autumn or summer?

The first few drapes are different shades of green since it’s the color I wear most (like most), after that, I tried to use what I had.

Im really confused about my season

I really see no difference...soft autumn? Brown eyed soft summer?... Dark autumn?... A winter?

As requested - more drapes

NMIP. Photos taken in indirect light near a window.

Some of these are repeat images from my soft autumn post. Some are repeat images from my warm autumn post. I do not have very much bright-colored clothing or much to drape for spring, so I’m working with that I have.

After all these exercises, my decision is still soft autumn, with the ability to wear some of the warm autumn more muted colors. I am warm, and I suspect a warm olive, which I believe helps bridge the gap between soft autumn and warm autumn. I definitely do not have high contrast.

i have to mention that my natural hair color is the super dark almost blackish u can see at the top and the rest is dyed, also i didn’t choose other colors to take pics with cause i just can’t see myself being any other season but autumn or maybe winter

Please type me!

I am so confused! I was typed digitally as a true summer, which in their system means I suit cool, light and soft summer equally well. However, I feel SO washed out and uncomfortable in light and soft colours, I’m starting to wonder if I was mistyped.

I put my hair back because it’s dyed a much lighter blonde - my natural hair colour is very dark blonde with grey (the grey is actually pure white).

Unfortunately I do not have a white background available, so I hope this works. I tried to include lots of colours, but let me know if you need to see more. Thank you!!

my hair isn’t as shiny and jet black in the photos in IRL. it’s more grey & ashy.

i think i’m olive undertone because i always have a hard time figuring out my undertone. foundations that has a yellowish tint works best for me. i also prefer silver necklace/earrings!

Type me! Am I really a winter?

Hello! One of my work besties of 10 years has told me since I’ve known her (before color analysis was a “thing”) that I’m a winter. What do you think? NMIP :)

Deep Neutral: Advice needed on alternative to white

Hi everyone! I had a draping done last week and the results (from the 10 season system that is most often used around where I live) was that I am an Autumn-Winter type (basically a bridge between deep winter and deep autumn, so deep neutral). From the true colors, autumn was a better fit than winter so I probably lean slightly warm, but my main characteristic is deepness basically!

Now I'm just looking for an alternative to white, for when I do want to wear something light (like on a hot summer day). I tried a cream top since my palette does have a light yellow, but I have to conclude that for me personally, anything yellow makes me look a little ill (my palette does not include any of the oranges or warmer yellows from the autumn palette in general)

I do have some very light pinks, browns and greens in my palette that might work better, and I want to shift my wardrobe toward more brown tinted basics with added greens, teals and purples.

Anyone with experience with a deep neutral palette whose skin also does NOT like yellow, who has found a nice light shade to substitute for white?

I'll include a picture of my palette :)

Type Me please: Summer or winter?

Hi all! Please can you type me? I thought I was a cool summer (just based on my own looking in the mirror) but then I feel like in pictures some cool summer colors make me look really washed out, and I think I look quite good in brilliant white (but never black which is why I thought I'm probably not a winter).

Glasses still on because I'm blind as a bat and I couldn't see the screen to take the photos if I took them off sorry!

Also double sorry if it's too many photos, I just went for a range! 😂

Please help me find my color season

I tried photographing myself (on an iPhone) with as many colors, tones, and shades as possible given the 20-photo limit. I’ve been told I have a neutral skin tone (warm foundations are too yellow and cool foundations are too pink). I burn once in the summer and then tan. I have some freckles. There’s NMIP here, and I tried to make a similar facial expression each time. I took these photos in the same room (with a skylight) within moments of one another, in front of the same wall. Tell me what you think I am and thank you in advance. 😊

Am I actually soft autmn?

I am olive , that I know, I always felt i had cool undertone and yellow overtone, but now that I am thinking, maybe I lean a bit toward soft autmn actually, and not soft summer? One note is that I gaind some tan this summer.
There is a photo of how I look in the winter in the end

What is the toasted soft summer thing going around?

Why don’t I see that for other seasons? Is there like a reverse of this like bread in the freezer soft summer? What is it?

Type Me - At home drapes, take 4

NMIP: Hi everyone, hopefully 4th times a charm as my neighbours are starting to think I’m nuts! As I’ve said previously, everything here is shot in the same spot, in RAW on my phone camera. There is only a few “bright” colours as it’s become quite obvious to me in this process that bright is definitely not flatter on me. I feel more confused than ever but I’m hoping after taking all your input I’ve got enough of a selection here to lead in a more definitive direction! I appreciate all your time for looking! Signed, a pregnant mama trying to get her pink back!

Type me :) Part 2 - warm colors

NMIP. So I tried to get similar pictures in front of a white background together with the warm tones I was able to find (not a lot, but maybe enough).

This time with an index for easier discussion.

Thanks in advance :)
