Just got a rejection email from a job I really wanted. Definitely stings since this is a role I would’ve been great at & at a company I truly think is great. And job hunting in this market has been stressful, disappointing, and just awful.
I’d love to respond back to the recruiter asking to keep me in mind for other roles especially since they are expanding. I’d really love to work at this company.

Is this something recruiters/ hiring managers can appreciate- that even though I didn’t get this position, I do want to work for this. What’s my best approach??

Has anyone received a no for a job you applied to but been considered for another role at the same company???

I have a final round of interview where they are flying me out. The interview is “a full day setup with 30-45 minutes for various departments to meet with separately.”

I’m curious if it’s appropriate for me to ask the recruiter:
how many other candidates are in the process at this stage?
Any info on the people on the teams that will be sitting on each panel?

I’m really excited about this opportunity so appreciate all your help!!!

The various teams I will be meeting with: Operations, Communications, Strategy, Government Affairs, Values Assessment, and Real Estate.

I went on a great date with a guy recently. We matched through Hinge; didn’t have a lot of conversation just quick chat and he asked me for the next day. When the date ended, he said he had a great time and would love to do it again so we exchanged numbers. That night, he messaged and I mentioned how great of a time I had and would love to see him again, to which he said he did as well, And if I was free to hangout the weekend after.
I didn’t hear back until mid week when I reached out to make plans and he said he’s “just getting back into the dating thing and realized it’s best for him to pause for a bit. Had fun and maybe down the road we can reconnect.”

Does this seem genuine or is this guy speak for “I’m just not interested in you”
