Coming from a FS, do you feel like you're adjusting your riding style to protect the bike?

I’m new to hardtails after years on a full-suspension enduro/freeride bike, and this is also my first carbon frame (Yeti ARC). I ride more trail/singletrack and less downhill, so this seemed like the perfect choice with aggressive geometry that I’m familiar with, while being much more versatile.

I love the frame’s geometry and the overall feel (much lighter, more direct power transfer, etc.), but I realize that I have a tendency to adjust my riding style and hold myself back both mentally and physically.

Even on fairly smooth trails, if I ride hard, I feel like I’m braking more and my mind isn’t as free as it was on my full-suspension bike.

I guess it's normal to adjust your style a little, but am I being too cautious out of fear of damaging the frame? Out of fear that it'll take too much impact? Is this a legitimate concern, or should I trust it more?
