Bravia 3ii brightness help

I purchased a 43” Sony Bravia 3ii bc of the lack of flicker. However, I also need a TV that gets dark bc I want to watch in my bedroom, and my eyes are sensitive to light. The Bravia 3ii gets somewhat dark if I crank brightness, contrast, etc down to zero. The image crushes, but at least it’s dark. My problem is arising with the menu/interface. When I go to the menu to select a streaming platform, the platform to select a show, or even just to fast forward, it’s blindingly bright. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it or what tv to trade it for?

I had also considered the LG B5 OLED bc the lights actually individually turn off for black/darkness, but I’m concerned about flicker even though it’s a different kind. And the Vizio Mini LED Quantum 4 and Bravia 2ii bc peak brightness is lower.

MRI burning

I had a left wrist no-contrast MRI this morning. She told me to take my belt off, but my jeans and tshirt were fine. I asked about taking off my bra with underwire, and she said it was fine to leave it on. I’ve had multiple MRIs before, all with a gown and no bra. I asked the second tech again, and he said metal like zippers and snaps on jeans are fine bc my wrist would be above my head.

It was a new, high powered 3T machine. He said the scan would be 12 min, but it was much longer. After several minutes, a strong, cold fan started blowing. That’s when the sound changed and my chest started heating up. It felt kind of like during a cardiac angiogram when a lot of contrast is pushed quickly, and your body burns. (Mine burns more than usual bc I have MCAS). I should have pressed my emergency button, but wasn’t sure it was an emergency so I didn’t. My hands also started heating up at one point. One hand was above my head, and the other was under my face bc I was on my stomach with no head rest. After the scan, I mentioned my bra getting hot, and just said that all metal can get hot in MRIs, and that this machine was new, powerful, and got really hot. I went in the bathroom to look, and my skin was red.

Now it’s several hours later, my chest is still burning. It looks normal though. I called radiology, and they said use A&D ointment, and go to urgent care if it gets worse. I called my PCP, and the nurse was shocked they put me in wearing my bra and jeans, and said to just watch the area. Not to use A&D unless my skin dries and cracks.

I’m kinda worried, even though I’m trying not to. Wondering when thermal burns after MRI usually show up. ETA: Oh, and if there’s anything I should considering doing in the meantime, like ointment, etc. I tried a cool, wet rag, and it helps part of the burning but makes another part worse.

Hair Tinsel question

Does anyone know if hair tinsel that’s tied in will heat up in an MRI? I’m not sure if it contains metal, but I’ve read that sometime it’s aluminum-coated. They’ll run the wand over it to check, but if it’s non-magnetic, does that mean it won’t heat up?

As far as causing artifacts - My MRI is of my left wrist. If I’m prone Superman pose, it might be near my head. If I’m supine, it’ll be by my side and further from my head.

Bravia 3 discontinued

I’m in the US and can’t find a 43” (or 50”) Sony Bravia 3 for sale except through third parties on the Walmart and Best Buy sites. Would Bravia 3ii or 2ii be my next best options? Was also looking at the LG B5 bc it gets really dark, and I’m also sensitive to bright screens. But I know it has a different time of flicker situation than PWM, but isn’t flicker free.

Mile high altitude

Is anyone with low ferritin, iron sat, etc living around 5300ft altitude? Do you have shortness of breath? I recently traveled to 3200ft for a couple of weeks, and breathing was easier. Unfortunately, I can’t move right now. Trying to get my levels up, but I’m struggling with infusions. Has anyone gotten their levels up with supplements?

Iron infusions & periods

Do iron infusions (Venofer) cause spotting/bleeding? And if so, why?

I’m in perimenopause. I haven’t had a real period in 7 months. A couple of times of really light spotting since then. 28 hrs after a 200mg Venofer infusion, I started my period. Anyone have any idea what’s going on?

For reference, my iron sat was 10% (up from 2% last year), ferritin was 4. Markers pointed to iron-deficiency without anemia. Was anemia last year, but infusions raised hemoglobin.

Venofer side effects

Curious of people’s thoughts… I had 3 Venofer infusions last year and am needing some more. After each one, I had side effects: burning feet, headache, low BP, diarrhea, bright orange snot, stabbing/searing pain by big toenail, joint pain in feet, iron flu, bad fatigue, etc. Different side effects after each one. I waited until side effects calmed before getting another infusion, so my infusions were too spread out: two months btn the first and second, followed by the third a month later. So I didn’t have iron repletion. I’m curious, if you had side effects (that lasted weeks/months), would you go ahead and get another infusion or wait until they calmed down? I’ll probably get another infusion soon. Trying to decide btn Venofer and Monoferric. If I have side effects, my gut feeling is to wait before getting the next infusion. But I want to get 5 infusions in 2 weeks so I actually have iron repletion. My shortness of breath and fatigue are really bad at this point.

Venofer or Monoferric

Has anyone who’s sensitive to meds/supplements and/or has MCAS, an autoimmune disease, or small fiber neuropathy gotten a Monoferric or Venofer iron infusion? How was your experience?

I had non-allergic side effects to Venofer for weeks/months afterward, but am concerned about switching to Monoferric since it’s higher dose.
