Cafebaras Rule Question
My family and I were playing Cafebaras and came across a question that we didn’t see an answer for in the rule book. It’s a little hard to word, but if you are able to fully satisfy a customer, do you have to? Or can you partially fulfill it in order to prolong the game?
Like, let’s say your cafe has 2 regulars, so one more regular would end the game. You have no coins left and your only option is to fill an order, but all the cards in your hand have orders that would make them a regular. Do you HAVE to do this? Or can you only take 3 points and forfeit the 4th so as to not end the game?
One person thinks you must always fulfill as much of the order as possible, while another thinks you should be able to choose if you don’t want to fill the whole order. (which I personally feels weird from a story perspective. If your shop has coffee, tea, soup, and the modern clock decor and the customer wants all 4, can you just be like “ok man I know we have all of that stuff but I just don’t want to give you the soup so… sorry”)
