Anyone else have an artist you discovered just in time for them to drop (in your opinion) their best work?

for example i listened to PVRIS’s first two albums and was like, sure okay. then within the year they released Hallucinations and Use Me which are the only reason i really became a fan (even if long time listeners have mixed feelings).

Does the story come across well?

“Best Friends” or ”lord of the rings“

recorded while driving lol forgive the background noise.

curious how it comes across without me explaining what it’s about — what does it seem like the story is? is it obvious/on the nose or too unclear?

thanks!

Thoughts on lyrics & what instrumental backing to add?

This is my third song ever so I have NO idea if other people will like it! Very curious

I didn’t set out to write two parts/perspectives, so it’s just me singing for now, but I tried to differentiate by adjusting my pitch/sound. I had an ending section written, but the idea was to have both parts singing, which was hard to get right with just me.

I love a lot of the lyrics but some lines feel awkward to me & have a few alternate versions. I’m curious if anything stands out to yall as clunky or confusing.

Oh and the only instrument I know is flute LOL so also if anyone has ideas for what kind of accompanying music might sound good lmk! I want to learn to play more and meet people to collab with but it’s a process!
