While I don’t plan on starting a new SV playthrough just yet (I still have to finish my Dragon run), got inspired to create a few team ideas for what I want to do next.

The first one is a “serpent” run. Got the idea after I decided to trade out Beedrill for Arbok in ZA. I’ve been wanting to use Arbok and Seviper in SV, but never really knew how I wanted to implement them. So I figured I could do a snake/serpent run. Milotic will probably be a bit of a tough one, but I figured I’ll either find someone to trade with or try my hand at the beauty stat method in BDSP.

The second is a dog run. I did this in SwSh, but figured I’d give it a try in SV. Just swapping out Ninetales and Zoroark to avoid a “they’re foxes not dogs” debate and Dachbun takes over for Boltund.

Third is a Bug run. Considered doing it when I got the Switch 2. Still haven’t yet, so I can do it now

Lastly is a Grass run. I’ve been wanting to use Whimsicott again it also gives me a chance to use Leavany, in either this or the bug run. I didn’t really want to use Ogerpon again, but I wanted the Flying coverage, don’t want to use Rotom Mow, and Ferrothorn isn’t available.

All in all just wanted to share some ideas.

Started up a new run in ZA, and after carefully looking over the feedback I got, I ended up going with a Poison run. However, instead of keeping Beedrill, I decided to go with Arbok since I’ve only used it one, during my first Let’s Go Eevee playthrough.

The team is 1/2 normal, 1/2 Alpha and thankfully the person I Link Code Traded with returned Gengar (I was going to evolve one in Arceus, but figured I’d humor online trading first). This will also be the first time I’ve ever used Gengar in a playthrough. While I’ve had the means to use one in the Switch titles, I just haven’t taken advantage of it, like I have with Scizor, until now.

Nicknames all start with the letter P since it’s a Poison run and I wanted to do something different.

Ivysaur: Philippe (was going to name one of them after the character)

Arbok: Penelope

Gengar: Piers

Glimmet: Pluto

Grafaiai: Princess

Scolipede: Pandora

Looking to start a new run, I thought I’d do another mono type run. And since I’ve lost interest in the Sycamore run I started, which I was doing for fun while sharing some progress snippets on YouTube, I’m going to be doing this run instead.

I thought I’d try a type I haven’t really done before or a type that I have done, but have options in ZA that I didn’t have in SwSh. I’m just not sure which I want to do, so I thought I’d get some feedback.

The Flying Team is partially inspired by my Sword run. Aerodactyl and Emolga replace Noivern and Togikiss. Aerodactyl because I haven’t used one in ages while I’ve never used Emolga before.

I’ve never done a Psychic run so I thought that could be a route. Especially since it’d give me a chance to use Delphox, which I’ve never used before. As well as Gallade and Mr. Mime who I’ve only used once.

The Rock team consists of three Pokemon I wanted to use: Glimmora, Aerodactyl, and Aurorus. I’d send over Glimmet through Home so I could have from the start.

All the while one of my more recent mono runs was a Poison run in Sword, which let me use Nidoking. Glimmora and Grafaiai would be sent from Home of course. Gengar will too, however, the reason for this is so that I can evolve Haunter in PLA. While I know I can find someone reliable to trade with, since I wasn’t planning on using it in SV or SwSh, I don’t mind breeding for a Gastly then sending the newly evolved Gengar to ZA.
