Person in LA living in car with their dog 💔. Any resources?

I don’t know where to post this but hope someone can provide some insight. I live in an affluent city in San Gabriel valley , and for the past month there has been a person who parks their SUV in our neighborhood as they work nearby at a restaurant. They live in their car and keep their little dog in the car. They place those aluminum colored sun visors along the widows of the car but have no idea if that is enough for the poor dog. I see that they come and check in on the dog on their breaks, walk their dog in the evenings but I don’t how sustainable that is. This evening I heard the dog barking inside the car with the windows cracked open (I’m sure the owner is working). I feel so bad, they seem like nice people and the dog may be all they have left. I’m sure if I call the shelter they will take the dog from them.. I’m so torn. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m worried about the dog, is there temp help for the dog?

Mobility issues accommodations for pick up after concerts

I have a friend who has season box tickets and does not drive at night, and have mobility issues (they cannot walk down the hill to the parking). Does anyone have suggestions on how to get in and out of the bowl easily (money isn’t an issue). They have a handicap parking space close to their box but the problem is they don’t drive at night. And the Ubers seem to pick up further down. Is there a private car service they should consider? The shuttle is risky since no one can help you get in out of those busses. Thoughts?

Fresh Margaritas

Any recommendation for fresh tasting margaritas that doesn’t use that overly sweet margarita mix? I don’t like Mijares food so that’s out, Amigos is good but I usually need to walk those off after and it’s too hot to do that today.

Pasadena Park and Recs-Pool Night?

Has anyone attended the parks and rec pool nights events that are hosted in the summer? I’ve never gone to one , specifically Kennedy Pool? My husband and I wanted to check it out but do not know what to expect.

Italian dinner tonight (for a couple)

I looked on the subreddit but wanted to ask again if anyone has any recommendations for an Italian place that isn’t too crowded (Mi Piace tables are way too close for my liking). Also I didn’t like Bulgurani in Altadena so please don’t recommend that. And no Italian deli company please :) . I read about celestino and Uovo but seems busy and food is ok 🤔. Cozy would be great too, it would just be my husband and I 😄

Late lunch near DTLA (CA endowment) ?

My husband and I are attending an event at the Endowment tomorrow. We wanted to check out a place to hang out and grab a bite around 3ish. I haven’t been in the DTLA for some time. Any place to check out? I dnt want Philippe’s or Placita olvera restaurants, as I’ve been to them. Anyplace we should check out with parking, don’t mind driving away from the endowment. It will be a celebratory late lunch for us

Brunch lunch recommendation for this Saturday, along BART station

I’m taking the BART from Oakland Airport to Berkeley this weekend and looking for a brunch or lunch spot I can check out before getting to Berkeley that is along the way and near the BART station? Walkable prefered :)

edit: no luggage, looking for a place that is hopefully not mobbed by the graduations happening that weekend.

Local Pants alteration

Does anyone have recommendations for a local tailor that can adjust my husbands pants (they’re too long). We need them by Thursday 😬. We’re in north Pasadena

I have my own personal telescope and I’m trying to figure out where is the best Telescope Spots Around Pasadena for Clear Night Skies. I’m a little hesitant to go to Angeles forest at night as I know that some people speed in that area.

Edit: I would just go for 2hrs or so. I don’t plan to camp and don’t want to drive more than 30min.
