Pump briefly switching on when taps shut quickly after vanity sink install
Recently had a Stuart Turner Showermate S1.5 bar Twin pump installed for the bath/shower. It worked normally at first. After a new vanity sink was connected, the pump now briefly switches on for about half a second whenever taps are shut quickly.
The issue happens on both hot and cold at the vanity sink. Kitchen taps can also trigger it, although only on the hot side. If taps are closed slowly, the problem does not occur.
There is no loud pipe banging. The noise is just the pump activating momentarily. If the pump is switched off electrically, the issue disappears completely.
The vanity pipework is now behind tiles, so access is limited.
Pump model: Stuart Turner Showermate S1.5 bar Twin (47342).
