I’m an incoming student considering Texas A&M University and I’m interested in both the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets and the university orchestra.

From what I understand, orchestra is an actual class (w/ credit hour) with rehearsals in the evening (around 9–10 pm), which seems like it would overlap with Corps evening study time.

So I had a few questions,

• Is it even allowed to be in orchestra while in the Corps?
• If so, are cadets excused from evening study time to attend rehearsals?
• Is this something only upperclassmen can realistically do, or is it possible as a freshman?
