Long time lurker, first time poster.
My wife and I moved here a little over three years ago, and her >!no way am I saying!<th birthday is coming up very soon. She was talking recently about how she hasn't gotten a mani/pedi in years and years. I'd like to surprise her with a gift card for... a spa day, I guess? Everyone deserves to feel pretty and pampered, and that's what I want to gift her.
I know very, very little about this world.
I'd like recommendations for a place that is:
- Reasonably priced. (In a perfect world, I'd be able to pay for her and a friend to go)
- Has a friendly, welcoming staff.
- Is hygienic/sterile.
- Feels "valuable" and/or "cared for". (Like well put together and maintained)
Things I am not concerned about:
- Distance, anything within say, an hour of the city is fine.
- Culture or language barriers, diversity is king.
She's not too girly, so to speak. Like she wouldn't get long acrylic nails or anything difficult to maintain. I think last time she got some sort of nail polish that was just a pretty color that lasted a long time. She works with kids in her daily job, and she's also a huge nerd.
And if there is more I need to know to get her the best experience, or what to look out for, please educate me!
