Do you recognize these rabbits? Help solve a crime (text NSFW, photo SFW)

Passing along a request from Dolly's Dream Home to recognize these rabbits and find out who did unspeakable things to their babies. Location: the greater St. Charles, MO, area.

Original post: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1DMh7KJ9iM/

>>>

There are 55,000 of you here now, which means we have 55,000 chances that ONE person recognizes these rabbits.

And right now, we need the internet to do the thing it does best: know everybody’s business.

Last night, we walked deep into the woods in St. Charles looking for a dumped bunny and found something we’ll never forget. 5 Californian White bunnies - 2 adults and 3 babies - had been killed and skinned. Their bodies had been left behind and, in one case, we believe deliberately arranged.

But 3 survived.

Girly Pop was found earlier in the day and brought to our emergency veterinary partners. Later that night, our rescue team caught Glory and Grapes in the same area.

Glory is lactating. We believe the 3 deceased babies we found may have been hers.

Our 3 survivors witnessed things no animal should ever experience, but somehow they made it out of those woods alive. Barely.

Then you guys did something incredible.

Within 20 MINUTES of our original post, someone recognized their rabbitry tattoos and we identified the breeder they originally came from.

20 minutes! Never underestimate 55,000 rabbit people with Facebook accounts and a mission.

The breeder has been cooperative and is going through her records to help determine who purchased them. Unfortunately, it sounds like the records available may be pretty limited…so now we need to work backward another way.

We’re asking 55,000 people to look at these 3 faces.

Not the tattoos this time.

THEM.

We believe these rabbits were likely living somewhere around the St. Charles, Missouri area. Californians are pretty recognizable by their seal points and somebody may have seen this group before.

Maybe you’ve seen them at a friend’s house.

Maybe your neighbor had several white rabbits with dark ears and suddenly doesn’t.

Maybe someone recently mentioned getting rid of their rabbits.

Maybe you remember seeing Glory, Grapes or Girly Pop somewhere and didn’t think twice about it at the time.

This is your official permission to think about everyone you know and be a little nosy. Then send this post to your nosiest friend because, frankly, this is their moment.

Think through the people you know, then SHARE THIS POST so they can do the same. We don’t need all 55,000 of you to recognize them. We need this post to reach the ONE person who does.

Please do not publicly accuse anyone, contact people you suspect, or start your own investigation. If you recognize these rabbits or know anything that could connect them to a previous home, PM Dolly’s directly. We can get legitimate information where it needs to go.

Even the tiniest detail could matter.

Because somewhere between the rabbitry that bred them and the woods where we found them, these rabbits belonged to somebody.

And then at least 5 of them wound up skinned and dead.

Help us figure out how.

While we work on this, Glory, Grapes, and Girly Pop are resting. They’re slowly learning that the hands reaching toward them now are bringing food instead of pain.

Sound UP on the video. Listen to those crunches.

After everything these 3 survived, the sound of 3 rabbits peacefully eating may be the best sound on the internet today.

Yesterday they were running for their lives in the woods.

Today they have 55,000 people looking for answers.

3 little faces.

55,000 people.

1 person out there knows something.

Let’s find them.

An Update from the Unionizing Workers at Alamo Drafthouse St. Louis

Hello!

Last week, the St. Louis Alamo workers went public with our intent to unionize, and it has been such a heartwarming experience to receive all the support from our local communities and those outside of our city. We wanted to give you an update as to how things are going, clear up some of the myths around unionizing, and tell you what our next steps are.

First off, since going public we have made significant progress with the union. We’ve been getting cards signed left and right, and are confident that we’ll be able to progress even further very quickly. We have also seen easy changes already implemented, including the removal of the notice before new movies that 100% of the tips you leave go directly to your servers. Unfortunately, announcing our intentions to the public also alerted our management and owners to our intentions and, as predicted, their responses have not been supportive. We have on multiple occasions witnessed and been informed of anti-union tactics, including but not limited to: distributed misinformation, small-scale firings and threats of large-scale terminations, hostility towards supportive workers, and pauses/cancellations to previously guaranteed promotions. To say this is disappointing is an understatement, given that we are NOT anti-Alamo, we are pro-worker. Some of the lies being spread about our cause are downright hurtful, bordering on ridiculous, and we hope the staffers targeted know that what they’re being told is false.

To that end, we also want to go into a little more detail about what we want out of this. While wages/tips are one of the focuses for our platform, they are not the only one. Minimum staffing levels and clearer, more consistent communication are also a big ask for us, as right now we follow fundamentally different procedures depending on which manager is working on a particular day. We also are requesting longer lead times with our scheduling, clarity on pay structure, backpay for employees who have been expected to train without a trainer wage, and several other issues we have agreed upon. And yes, the QR codes and service fee are part of that.

The myths we have seen so far have ranged from white lies, such as that the front of house workers are doing this to steal wages from back of house, to absurd, like the threat of firing the entire staff and upper management quitting on the spot if the union goes through. We know this is a fear tactic, and are not scared or threatened by what we are hearing. We are supported by each other, and by you, our community.

So, what are next steps? First, we need YOUR support! On social media, in reviews, to our faces if you come in for a movie. Having people fist bump or high five us when they see union pins makes it all worth it, and we know for a fact our owners scan social media daily. So please, let them know you want changes!

For us, once we reach a specific threshold of internal support, we will ask that management formally recognizes our union. In the incredibly likely event that we are not recognized, we will file with the NLRB for an election. Pending a successful union vote, we will begin contract negotiations. Of course, we will keep the community updated as we move forward, but it may not always be speedy.

We appreciate the love so far, we hope our union can provide the best moviegoing experience in St. Louis, for customers and coworkers alike.

Thank you again!

Needing to rehome

This is Franky, he’s an 8 year old Australian Shepherd and unfortunately we need to find him a new home (if you wanna hate go ahead, but I’m looking for genuine advice)

We adopted him about 3 weeks ago and it’s been a rough time. I did do my research on the breed before adopting him and continue to learn new information, but nothing prepared me for this. I thought we were doing all the right things, we take two 15-30 min walks/runs, we do mental enrichment activities, we have 5-10 minute training sessions everyday.

The main reason I feel like it’s best to rehome him is because of our 2 year old daughter, she’s in a stage where she doesn’t understand or doesn’t care about boundaries. He tries to have patience, but there has been a couple instances where he has pounced and bit her (not hard, mainly nips) I feel like he needs much more than what we can realistically provide him, he’s great, super sweet, and a super smart dog. I just feel like there must be someone out there who would love him and will have a much better environment for him.

Any advice is welcome, we just really need help!

Edit: One thing I forgot to mention, he is super possessive over me, I think that’s what it is. He doesn’t like my daughter or husband hugging/kissing me, he will either get in the way or nip at them. It’s definitely a struggle when I try to change my daughter’s diaper or dress her anything that requires me holding her for more than 5 seconds.

Coffee Shop Recommendations?

I live in Kirkwood and have mainly gone to Teleo, but due to recent events, I am looking to try some new places! It would be great if there is also a nice space to work. Thank you!

Looking or a good Gyro (not pressed and sliced meatball)

I've had a hard time finding a good gyro here. I'm looking for a place that does a real layered döner, not the pressed cone. The only spot I've found in STL is J's Pitaria. They're good, though not truly Greek; I know they're Bosnian-style, but still solid. Is there anywhere else that doesn't pretend? I tried STL Gyros, walked in, saw the giant meatball on the spit, and walked right back out. I grew up on an island in Greece and I just can't bring myself to eat that. There has to be more options. See image below might make more sense.

Looking for:

Missouri No-Call List

Who ever is in charge of this list is Losing the battle, hard.

The Robo calls that mimic existing phone numbers, using the same area code and first 3 digits and randomizing the last 4.

The soliciting by Roofing and Buy Homes For Cash companies.

I'll even accuse politicians for using the No-Call list to spam their political ads.

It's illegal, and it's horseshit....but just as horseshit that there's a system in place that's supposed to be preventing them and it is failing Miserably.

How can we, as a community, stop the rising cost of utilities?

I see everyones bills increasing. It's insane. Most of us can not afford them as is. Today I noticed my MSD bill nearly doubled even though I consumed less water THEN ALL PREVIOUS MONTHS THIS YEAR. Please make it make sense. Calling MSD was no help.

WE NEED TO START FIGHTING FOR FAIR RATE UTILITIES!

Teleo coffe has a kickstarter to fund opening a second coffe shop. Am I the only one who finds this slimy? Are people "donating" to other peoples for profit businesses?

Are people really that delusional? And the tier levels are even more cringe.

Maybe I'm out of touch and just don't understand....

For $500 you get a coffee cup, a sticker, and an invitation to the soft opening

Seeking Winter Driving Tips (As a Floridian 🙃🙃🙃)

Hey y'all! So in a week I am moving from Florida to STL (as someone who has never seen snow) and I was hoping to get some practical advice as to driving during the winter. I'm a student, and have pretty bad driving anxiety in general, especially when it rains here and there's little visibility.

I know it's still a while away, but I'm just trying to prepare as best I can! Any advice - especially on a super dumb/essentially beginner level - as someone who has never driven in these conditions (or whatever you all use to stay safe!), would be helpful.

Is skidding/drifting/getting into accidents as common as the news I've seen makes it sound? How do y'all know when it is safe to drive and under what conditions? Do you use any apps/websites to check? I am getting all weather tires installed, but are these adequate? I know some people are saying snow tires are helpful, but others say they are overkill, so I'm not really sure.

Additionally, do people often work from home under these conditions, or is there still an expectation that one comes in and or stays later? Can people use public transportation during the winter/is it reliable (I am in the Delmar area). Sorry for all the questions! Any tips/tricks/or answers would be SOOO helpful (and feel free to make fun of me as an out-of-towner, I definitely deserve it!)

Edit: I drive a 2023 hyundai Santa Fe

New Metrolink Kiosks

The gates are fine. Let’s talk about the replacement kiosks for tickets. I’m taking my first ride today since the changes came this summer.

Love that it finally supports a tap to pay. But could the tiny pinpad for making a purchase be any smaller and be angled downwards any more? It feels like they have a pretty modern display unit, then this crappy little addon payment device.

What I haven’t found yet is confirmation if the transit app works like other cities where I can just put on some credit and use my watch/digital wallet to scan through gates to save time. Any confirmation on that or the app?

Desperate for help: need to temporarily rehome cats

The person I married has started to act in very scary ways. They are verbally abusive, often yelling, slamming things, storming off and even once got physical with me. Unfortunately they have also become extremely intolerant of my cats(I have two), often complaining, never interacting with them, and yelling at them. I am now very worried for their safety

Unfortunately I can’t leave right now as I am an immigrant and leaving will jeopardize my immigration status. Unfortunately, this also means I have no family and friends close by to ask for help

I’m looking for someone (or an organization) willing to take my cats in for a few months while I try to figure out this mess. Other than this horrible person being mean to them, they are well taken care of. I will provide food, toys, litter anything they need.

I really don’t want to lose my cats.
