Cylinder 6 misfire / ECU compatibility

Long story short, I did my gallery gaskets and now I don’t have spark in cylinder 6. I swapped the ignition coil and plugs from cylinder 4 to 6 and the coil still wasn’t working. Cylinder 6 isn’t sparking at all. Had it checked by my mechanic and an automotive electrician. Did a compression test as well and I’m getting good compression.

I did notice that when I started it, my grounds that go from the timing cover to the chassis sparked. The electrician also mentioned that there’s a short to ground and both my mechanic and the electrician said I should replace my ECU. The ECU isn’t sending signal to cylinder 6.

I have a 2010 g37x sedan and i picked up an ECU off a 2013 g37xS without the adaptive cruise (my car doesn’t have adaptive either)

Definitely a weird scenario I’m in. Will the 2013 ECU work after reprogramming? Or do I need to change the main engine harness too?

I might go to Pick-n-Pull tomorrow to pickup the wiring harness off a 2013 ex37 however I’m thinking i should maybe just buy the ECU off another 2010 g37x so I don’t have to replace the harness

Can someone chime in? Has anyone been thru something similar? The car only has 110k kms. I won’t be letting go of this car tho. PFA
