Opinions on the Creality SparkX i7, it is actually any better than the Bambu Lab A1?

Started doing some research recently on getting myself a new 3D printer since my old one keeps just giving me problems. I keep getting recommended the Bambu Lab A1, which meets my needs, but when I was looking to see if any options exist, I found the Creality SparkX i7, said by some reviewers to be "better than the Bambu A1". My reason for this post is to see if any owners of the SparkX i7 would recommend this printer over the Bambu, or if I should just go with the Bambu. Currently, both are on sale: the SparkX is $200 USD, and the Bambu is $279 USD.
If anyone has any other 3D printer suggestions, please let me know. My requirements for a printer are that it is under $250-300, it is relatively fast, and it does not require a lot of tinkering to get working. I also do not care for multicolor printing.
Edit: Also, I live in California, where the bill AB-2047 will probably pass, which will lock down 3D printers for "safety", so not sure if that changes things, but in case that does change what I should get, I'm adding that here.
