Trans men community in Morocco

I’ve been thinking about how little space there is for trans men in the Moroccan LGBT community.

A lot of trans women seem to have a closer connection with women’s communities, and gay men naturally have their own spaces and communities. But as trans men, I feel like we often end up somewhere in between. We may not fully feel at home in lesbian spaces anymore, but we also don’t necessarily feel included or understood in gay male spaces, nor straight cis men.

There’s a particular experience of being a trans man in Morocco that I think deserves its own space. And honestly, I don’t think that community really exists yet.

So I’d like to start building one.

If you’re a trans man in Morocco and you’ve ever felt similarly, DM me or leave a comment. It could be as simple as creating a small group where we can talk, share experiences, help each other navigate things, or just know that there are other people going through similar experiences.
