We're just rewatching season 2, and in episode 33 (The Late Emperor), Suiren explains to Maomao that Jinshi found a lump of poisonous orpiment in the inner palace when he was a child. While Maomao has some suspicions about Jinshi's real identity, as far as she's aware he's just a eunuch, so why would a eunuch have grown up in the inner palace? Is it a plot hole for her to have disclosed this so openly to Maomao when ostensibly no one should know his true identity?
