HII YALL! italian m16 here, was bored so i tried drawing maomao, since i love her

this is my journey into drawing till i learn how to draw properly, no theory, no big words, since i like my lessons in practice and figure out things on my own, and also i like to draw, but unfortunately i suck :|

its the first time i'm attempting to draw something thats not an umamusume, ergo has human ears, so i chose to stick with this easy ears picture

overall i like it a lot! tomorrow (since its 00:19 here ik, i should be eeptying) i'll show it to my friends and im so excited! one thing id change is maybe make the left eye less tall and move the right eyebrow higher and to the right a bit, but amen this drawings SICK

Ahhhhh I can't find any good wallpaper on 📌 , I once found a good one but it was fir pc and is still on my laptop since ever, but I just got a new mobile (kinda) so I need maomao wallpapers for mobile BUT I WANT THE BEST OF BEST PLEASE, I love maomao as much as I loved my ex I won't tolerate a low effort jpg. I need a good aesthetic wallpaper and two actually one for home screen and one for lock,

What is your favorite underrated moment/scene in the show?

For me it has to be when Lady Lihua sat right beside Maomao caressing her face as she’s deep in sleep after spending days if not a couple of weeks getting her back to her normal health. It was such a touching little moment that honestly solidified their connection and her appreciation for Maomao.

Also this is a side note but am I the only one who noticed that this episode in particular is animated differently than every other episode in the series? Like idk if they changed studios or this episode had a higher budget or what. It’s just something I’ve noticed it’s not really relevant to the topic 😅.

Isnt Maomao supposedly a noble?

Sorry if this is a dumb question - I only watched the anime. Now that we know Maomao is Lakan's child, and he is a noble, technically she is a noble and can claim such status if she wants to?

Edit: thank you for the responses. Yep I just wanna confirm what I thought. I agree with ya'll tho, that's why I put "if she wants to" bc she likely dont care abt that stuff.

Im thinking tho if she wants to be a physician, she could use that? Idk. Just gonna wait for the next season to come out.

Can’t seem to shake this off while watching

I haven’t really seen many people talk about this, and maybe I haven’t developed too far into the show to comment on it either but, doesn’t the anime really dumb down something horrendous and super serious?

I mean I can’t shake the fact that the entire palace is filled with women who were kidnapped and forced either into prostitution or slavery, and yet there seems to be no commentary on that, everyone just moves on like it’s fine?

No scenes of distress, struggle, trauma or oppression seem to be addressed yet, why?

I get that the anime clearly is supposed to be lighthearted but can’t seem myself to watch a lighthearted take on something so absolutely horrendous.

Almost like if someone made an anime on slavery, and didn’t show any struggle, added humour, added dazzle and moved on?

Maybe I haven’t progressed into the anime properly yet, but really can’t seem to shake this off.
