I work at a vet hospital and one of the vets pointed this out for everyone. I just felt like it was cool and I don't have anyone to share this with TwT

I have 2 client that were some of my first after joining the platform. They are neighbors and friends whose dogs have grown up together and I have sat for both several times. One of the clients messaged me this morning, which wasnt unusual since I was starting a sit for them this evening, and let me know the other clients dog was put down yesterday for stomach cancer. I am assuming this was a sudden decision since I was supposed to sit for him over the 4th and again in 2 weeks and the owners didnt mention anything. He was such a sweetheart but was getting old, mostly deaf from when I first met him and blind by my last visit. I messaged the owners privately sending my condolences and plan to leave a card with some pictures of their dog while I am next door this weekend.

Checked my mail today and found a letter and enclosed check from Epiq. The listed reason is related to something with Cashapp and their customer service. I did some Googling and there is apparently a settlement for a breach of security a few years ago while I was actively using the app, but the listed reasoning doesnt seem to relate. I also saw that you had to apply for the settlement but I never did. I asked my parents and they were unsure if its real and told me to research if its a scam. I'll include a pic with names and address blocked out.
