Been seeing those perler bead projectors all over Rednote but with a lot of reviews that theyre either loud, hot or have flickering + they don’t have the matching outlet plug.

After some research I found a website that let’s me project directly onto my board. 10/10 recommend!

Not talking about all the colors, and specifically the mini beads! This mostly appears to be affecting bags with more than 2000.

Been going through 10-20.000 beads a day lately and I notice some of the artkal beads are just such terrible quality, being completely different height sizes, too thick, uneven cuts with plastic leftovers etc. Not just talking 1 in 20 but 1 in 2 are completely messed up. These are all bigger bags from 4 different artkal suppliers, so it’s definitely not a seller issue. Especially some I have to physically press down because they’re just too thick for any board or refuse to sit straight, no matter if new or old, artkal or china board.

C2 Black + C69 Mineshaft + CE Colors = those are usually the worst

Else some of the C shades, the M ones mostly seem to have issues with thickness.

The OG store seems to be sold out but there’s a few other stores on taobao that still have them in stock - will update once mine arrives 🙏

Just wanted to add the color swatches of the A series I did today. Pictures are taken in daylight. OW is Omamori

Since I live in Europe, sourcing Mard is quite a pain + expensive. So I have been in search of dupes, relying mostly on those color conversion websites. Unfortunately they are terrible with accuracy and I’m tired of those messing up hours of work. Which is why I’m planning on making swatches for the entire Mard Collection.

Quality wise there does seem to be a huge difference between the 3. With artkal being the one that has the most messed up beads but no smell during iron. Omamori does have a smell when ironing, but perfect beads. Mard has a faint smell with also perfect beads.

Unfortunately Mard is used for every single chinese RedNote pattern and only available on taobao- if you end up buying them make sure that the store you’re ordering from is called ‘MARD’ with no extra letters.
