chance me cap student advertising external transfer (fall 26)

hey everyone 😭 im applying as an external transfer to UT Austin for Advertising and the waiting has been stressing me out me a little so I wanted honest opinions/chances.

just finshied my CAP year ending with a 4.0 for the whole year. I originally got capped from UT Austin for advertising and honestly only chose CAP because UT was still the dream school for me so this was kinda my 2nd chance to get it lol.

Some stats (mostly if not all of this was during my year at tyler)

- 4.0 GPA
- core complete
- 45 hours of credit transferring
- marketing & programs assistant for UT Tyler where I help create social media campaigns, event branding, graphics, flyers, etc. for campus events reaching 8,000+ students
- marketing/social media intern for an insurance company out of dallas where I run campaigns + analytics and helped increase engagement
- founded my own creative media/branding initiativ,e doing design + social media work for clients and personal mock-ups
- founder/editor of a digital pop culture magazine focused on music + entertainment trends
- magazine staff editor and page designer + entertainment and music features writer for UT Tyler Student Media
- selected to compete at statewide TIPA collegiate media competition in categories like advertising, magazine design, and critical writing
- involved in 3 organizations/clubs, including CAPSO (media cohort + records officer), American Marketing Association, and UT Tyler Student Media
- certifications in Google Ads, HubSpot social media marketing, Canva marketing, etc.
- strong Adobe skills (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro)

i feel like my essay is pretty strong. i wrote about how advertising shapes culture and how i want to do the same and stuff like that lol. there's more to the essay its just hard to put it into words but trust its really good.

i feel like my application is really aligned with advertising specifically, but moody admissions seem so unpredictable and competitive 😭 especially for external transfer.

would love honest thoughts/chances/advice from anyone who transferred into moody or knows how competitive advertising is.
