Sennheiser HD560S DAC/AMP

I've already explained this on my previous post but basically I bought a HD560s to plug without a DAC/AMP to my HP Victus 16. I was dissatisfied at first since the bass sounds very bad but turns out when I tried it on my friend's ASUS ROG laptop, it sounds completely different and 10x better.

So the issue is on my laptop

  1. Could it be a software issue (i have something accidentally enabled, etc)?
  2. If I tweak with the equalizer will it get better?
  3. If I should get a DAC, what's a good budget recommendation? ($50-$75 if possible)

Just bought my first pair of Sennheiser's, the HD560S to replace my old gaming headphones, the Steelseries Arctis 5's.

Was so excited to try them until I actually played some music and it sounds absolutely horrible. I did a side by side comparison with my Arctis headphones and even some parts of the music were missing (e.g. the bass guitar). I'm sure I did something wrong here but I can't figure what it is. I heard people say that the bass on this headphone is lacking but I literally cannot hear them at all

I don't use any DAC's.
I'm using a HP Victus Laptop and just plug it rawdog.
Also format is 16 bit, 48000 Hz (idk if thats normal)
I used Spotify to test both headphones. (maybe bad source for music? But the problem is that my old gaming headphones sounds SO MUCH BETTER than the Sennheisers).
