Loki's send off 🧡🌈

We scattered our beautiful Loki's ashes today. Not what we thought we would be doing this weekend.

Loki was such a tough cookie. He had his sneezing issues and dental disease but despite it all and despite being 8 years old he never let it slow him down. He was spritely and had a hugeeee personality for a little bun. He was jumping up and begging for treats and running between our feet right until the end. He is greatly missed 🧡.

When we scattered his ashes today we saw an orange black and white butterfly and a white one. Mark also saw a brown one too. Loki🧡 Ostara 🤍and Thor 🤎. I like to think they are all reunited now.

We have had some margaritas today in Lokis honour and the lovely ladies Eisa and Runa have tried on the tequila hat that Thor Loki and Ostara have all worn in the past 😂🌈

Bunnies are little heartbreakers but they are the best companions too.

We are hoping Eisa and Runa will bond but think it may take some time. They've both had lots of cuddles and love 💕

Loki 🌈

Our Loki has had such a full life but still gone just way too soon.

We adopted him and his brother Thor when they were just a few months old. After Thor passed away he needed a companion and we found Ostara who was perfect. Unfortunately Ostara crossed rainbow bridge at the end of 2025.

Again Loki needed an new friend so he instantly bonded with Eisa, the black lion head lop.

Loki has been through so much over the last year and a half. After loosing Ostara he has been having continuous respiratory issues resulting in an invasive rhinostomy. He fell ill over the weekend and was due to undergo a dental but passed away under the anaesthetic.

He was my best friend for the last 8 years and I dont know how I will cope without him.

Now he can binky free over rainbow bridge to meet again with Thor and Ostara.

🌈💚

Until we meet again little buddy

Runa will do DIY for nose rubs

Excuse the mess, she loves chaos and to flavour her water with forage 🤣

Hoppy 8th Birthday Loki!!!

We adore him!

He's had a rhinostomy 3 weeks ago, hence the dodgy haircut and hole in first 2 pics, but hes doing well and still acting his funny self 🥰

He is still the most adorable boy!

Even with his little dolphin nose and bogey's we love him to bits!

Penned upstairs whilst we clean downstairs and Loki is wondering what snacks we have for him while he waits 💗

Some good(ish) news! Loki & Eisa

Ok so we have mixed news but positive overall.

Eisa - amazing news - her heart appears to be completely normal. No abnormality. Waiting a week for the official cardio specialist review but initial thoughts are 99% certain its normal.

We are going to do a quarter dose of frusol for a week, check her breathing remains normal, if yes then she can stop the frusol entirely and again check breathing normal.

It could be that the frusol dose she is on is the dose she needs to be normal or could be that she doesnt need it at all and the change was due to IV fluids or something odd thats no longer an issue so we will monitor and see but is good news for Eisa💚

For those that don't know - Eisa went to the emergency vets and then specialists on new years eve with stasis and then plueral effussion and was diagnosed with an enlarged heart on one side. But happy to say it now appears normal!

For Loki- he had a scary rhinostomy op last wednesday and spent until this Monday (almost a week) at the vets for recovery. He had a recheck today with the specialists and the bacteria (pasturella) appears to be antibiotic resistant potentially :(. However, she said weve done a great job of keeping his stoma clean and open and his breathing is good and he seems good and happy overall otherwise. She is going to check with the surgical specialist to see if we can flush with an antibiotic or antibacterial solution rather than saline potentially to see if this helps and will get back to us next week on this and then follow ups can be back with our normal vets.

If anyone has had any experience with successfully treating or managing antibiotic resistant pasturella please could you let me know any advice?

Currently we are flushing with saline and cleaning 2x a day and keeping his stoma open. He has numbing topical spray before any cleaning as well as gabopentin and loxicom for pain relief. And on 2 antibiotics too at the moment. Hes really happy in himself otherwise thankfully our little bright sparky boy 💚

We also give fibreplex and biolapis to protect his gut

It's Loki's Rhinostomy surgery tomorrow and we are very nervous. He's been sneezing over a year now. We are hoping this helps give him some relief and better treat the bacteria
