Just watched Mortal Kombat II on a real IMAX screen and honestly… WOW.

This movie completely blew past my expectations. It genuinely feels like the gold standard for how a video game adaptation should be done. The casting was perfect, every character felt accurate to the games, and the fights actually had weight, style, and personality instead of just random CGI chaos.

BEST part of the IMAX experience?
That moment during one of the fight scenes where the screen slowly expanded from the normal widescreen ratio into full IMAX ratio just like the start for a fight in the video game.

This is probably the most fun I’ve had watching a video game movie in theaters.
