My cosplay costume of (humanized?) Monomon the Teacher from Hollow Knight

The mask was 3D printed, I cut holes into the upper eyes (?) and glued in some black mesh so I can see. The strap is fastened with shoelace cord, and instead of drilling into the mask, I put wall grade adhesive velcro on both sides of the mask to sew the straps onto.

For the “tentacle” part of the costume, I took several thrifted skirts and tore them to strips down to the ends, then layered them on top of each other and wore a turtleneck tucked under the layers to cover up my arms and neck. I got the cloak from a Spirit Halloween, and the dreamcatcher was also thrifted from the same store I got the skirts from. The book and feather were things I just had around.

Just got publicly criticized and berated for choosing to wear a dressy button up and bow tie to a wedding. Fucking lovely.

My grandma (not related to the bride or invited) went with me to help me shop for my aunts wedding, knowing I’d be wearing something more androgynous/neutral (dress pants and a button up with a simple vest. She had no issues until I picked a bow tie since the wedding is going to be more high end and fancy.

The moment I suggested it she started berating me for trying to dress like a man. The bride doesn’t care because we have several masc/gender non conforming cousins in attendance.

I got the tie anyway but she’s now being short with me.

It’s 2026 man, plenty of women and fem people are wearing clothes like that now! It’s not the fucking 50s anymore. I consider myself gender neutral but I find more masculine styles comfortable than dresses and skirts.

Anyone got tips for sore hands after trimming bushes all day?

It’s in the title- I spent nearly seven hours yesterday trimming bushes and my hands are so sore I can’t grip anything properly. If anyone’s got tips for relieving sore muscles and joints in your hands I’d love to hear them

I was recently given a laptop (as I said in the title, a Thinkpad T570) by a family member that was reset, and when I charged and opened it it gave me an error window that says, word for word
“This computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click “Ok” to restart the computer, and then restart the installation.”

When I click ok, it does restart but gives the same prompt, and when I click the x it does the same thing. I do plan on taking it to a shop if I can’t fix it myself.

Neither team in this round is Canadian (bruins and sabres) but the anthem is still sung with the Star Spangled Banner due to its proximity to the border. When the singer’s microphone cut out during the performance, the majority of the stadium continued to sing regardless.
