I’m wanting to turn the Arris NVG578LX into an access point as a temporary solution for a Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Max. Is this possible?

Has anyone had any luck with the TP-Link Archer BE550? Thought I’d swap out the supplied Arris NVG578LX to give me more control. If anyone is thinking about doing the same don’t bother. The 5GHz signal on the BE550 is horrendously bad. Erratic speed test results and overall just terrible.
